My top priorities (in order) are now: Heppell, Hurley, Myers, Watson, Hibberd, Bellchambers, Stanton, Howlett, Pears.
Wouldn't mind letting go 2 of the last 3 though.

Having a look at Sam Landsbergers best 22 for next season (with all 12 back) and seriously think we could go big next year. Obviously some of the 12 and especially the older blokes wont be in great knick but with the depth that we are gaining this year we are seriously building something. Got a good feeling lads

I was always confident the entire 12 weren't going anywhere. The guys that stay will be set for life with money and support - the club has many powerful supporters who stand by these guys. Guys like Ryder and Carlisle face the risk of not getting the same level of support post football having abandoned the club for weaker establishments.

Not surprising to hear the boys were at a bbq with the coteries the other week.

According to Robbo on AFL 360 Jobe is the only concern the club has.

Why won't they be in great knick? Majority have been uninjured and have been undertaking elite training programs without the usual hits, bumps and sore spots that hold you back from additional training during a season. They should all improve endurance wise. When they come back to the club in September they can start copping some more physicality but then again they could have boxing training to harden the body up.

They've been kicking the footy at training so shouldn't lose their skills.

It will be interesting to see how they go. Unlike Crowley and Saad they've had the benefit of training as a group. Some of them could actually be a fair bit better.

Watching the training videos has me confident Watson intends on returning, every piece of footage I've seen he's working hard and looks as fit as I've ever seen him. If you weren't coming back you'd ease off I'd reckon but he appears to be the opposite to that. I don't think Watson would want to end his career on that note.

yeah just think that maybe it could take them a while to get used to the pace of the game and back to their absolute best. Was just trying to be a bit precautionary so i didnt sound totally ahead of myself haha

I don't think any amount of practice is a substitute for actual matches. It's hard to stimulate the same pressure for a sustained period of time. But it is a unique situation, so who knows.

EDIT: Hah! Beaten to it.

Have to admit I was in the.... 'I'd rather have the No. 2 pick'.....not anymore baby!!!Cale you magnificent beast.

**** rebuild we're next year's Leicester, only better. Go Bombers!!

Fair enough - I'm fairly bullish about our prospects in 2017. The fact the guys come back to the club in just over 4 months now to rejoin training means they will have a solid block of inhouse training prior to the season proper commencing (about 6 months of training) adding to the work they do as a group and overseas at various locations.

I hope your right.

I'm all but certain that he'll need to give his Brownlow back, which may be the (very big) straw that breaks his back. And who'd blame him. Really feel for the guy.
