Winning a GS this year is a possibility if you're thinking Nick can pull a Cilic (2014 USO) or Wawrinka 'Stanimal' (2014 AO, 2015 FO) campaign.

So the latest, he might miss out on the Olympics because of that lol

BERNARD Tomic’s Olympic aspirations hang in the balance after his latest tanking misdemeanour at the Madrid Open drew widespread condemnation.

I won't be sorry to see the back of the anally retentive Kitty Chiller. She is like Dawn Fraser but without the accomplishments. It's almost as if the fallout from the notorious Olympic Swimming Team of London 2012 sparked an outcry of 'never again' from the AOC.

I am surprised Dawn didn't make an appearance on Sunrise to tell us we should ban Tomic from the Olympic team.

On the Tomic thing, I think he is scheduled to play an ATP tournament in the week of the Olympics. Thiem is also listed as playing the same tournament. Ao more than likely Tomic isn't even planning on playing in the OG.

Dasha has just been beaten by a player who in all seriousness I have never heard of. I caught up with it when it was 6 all in the first heading into the tiebreaker, pretty much all downhill from there.

Chirico, ranked 130. Never heard of her before

Yep the scheduling is crap. No ranking points. And the most recent confirmations for Los Cabos are:

Tomic said something at the beginning of the year that playing in the Olympics could be unlikely according to his schedule (the Adam Scott reason)

I'm very surprised thiem and Tomic wouldn't want to play the OG for a small 250 tournament.

Kyrgios takes the first set over cuevas in what was a really tight set. Nick did not get a first serve in during the tiebreak, but still won it.

The more I see him play on clay, the more I think he can make 1/4 finals of the French, he plays well on the stuff.

Kyrgios gets the win in 3 tight sets, 7-6 4-6 6-3 against an opponent playing well. Kyrgios is looking every bit a top 10 player at the minute.

Plays noshikori tomorrow which should be fun.

At least he's doing it without mentioning the fact unlike Bernie.

Leagues apart at the minute. Nick was also down an early break in the third set but broke back quickly, which was important. If he and Djokovic win tomorrow they will play in the semi, a matchup I'm keen to see.

Stosur wins her quarter final and faces halep next. Sams had a really nice run in the draw the past couple of weeks, types of players she finds comfortable to compete against, glad she's made the most of it.

Australian media is still reluctant to acknowledge Nick's tennis abilities, this morning i was listening to the radio and they mentioned Dasha lost but nothing was said about Nick's win. If Nick had some outburst it would be headline news.

On Channel 7 the other day they focused more on his "outburst" than his win against Stan.Would be nice if he got some credit for these wins especially given it's a masters.

It's a joke, the media cannot accept he is actually a good tennis player and is now beating some top players. How many times does Australian media need to remind us of his past antics.
It's also what builds contempt from the general public, because they only ever see him at his very worst because it suits the media's narrative.

Exactly, people who don't follow tennis throughout the year believe he is a brat and doesn't work hard.
