This gameplan we are starting to see patches of in games is almost unstoppable when up and going.

More than a few of we BOAF (Birds Of A Feather) quite rightly feel that our current coach is to blame for ever so much, yet we still strive for a mature response to the many, many Buckley provocations.

Does anyone else feel like some parts to this thread is too black and white?

We're all big fans, I get that. But because we don't have complete access to everything that happens at the club, there's a risk of trying to read too much into certain things (both pro and against bucks).

I love this Simpson episode about drawing conclusions

Zero to hero in two weeks for Bucks. I suspect it will flip back just as quick with a decent loss.

Correct. I was at the game and was amazed at how good that zone looked. Same plan, better implementation. There is definitely no man on man stuff happening unless you're talking Greenwood on Selwood although that would be more correctly referred to as man on sook.
that is all well and good but and some point man on man is needed look at Frost (Who is in terrible form) on Hawkins in the last. There needs to be some accountibility to an opponent at stages. Team skills, soft tissue injuries etc are still coaching issues though. Glad we won but we obviously have a great recent record against Geelong where we beat them last year when we were playing like shit in the second half of the year still wnet on to lose to a woeful Essendon a few weeks later. Realists rather than haters as we all love the club and only wish great success

Nah the first month was absolutely horrific. Yet as bad as the Carlton loss was rds 5-7 there was signs of improvement. Whatever the problem seems to have been fixed. Given teams in the 8 are falling away there is no reason finals are not a realistic option. Fasolo may be right.

That impressive on Saturday looks like Buckley may be safe for 2017 if the form line holds for 11+ wins.

I dont understand the whole "Where is the Buckley haters now"

Really you are just reinforcing why the majority of fans were so disappointing with our start to the season. Most people on this board knew we were capable of playing good football like we did against Geelong and Brisbane even with a young list and what we were being served at the start of the year was putrid.

Agree as bad as the start of the year was Saturday was unbelievably good. Hence the do gooders at the start of the year were right. This list is good enough to contend and congrats to Bucks + list managers on the rebuild but we need to start seeing results. Which hopefully is happening.

(As an aside every year people say the 8 is set no changes possible etc but as in most years I can see a couple of sides dropping off).

I have no real idea what you're getting at but the fact is that even with a zone, the point is to close up the space so that if an opponent enters the zone he can be manned up in the event that the ball is directed to him. The rest of your post I don't really understand.

Initially i was pretty impressed that this thread was still flying high after two wins.... it usually drifts away until another bad loss. And I start reading the last page and there's all this positive stuff about buckley. Isnt it about time we stay on track and keep the pressure on him? If there's one thing that people should have learnt from last weekend's game is that persistence is critically important. Just because your opposition ( buckley lovers ) might gather a little momentum after a few wins, it doesnt mean that you have to go back into your shell. Think Jeremy Howe! Think taking the pro-buckley brigade head-on! Now is not the time to drop your heads! I hope that I'm doing a better job of motivating people than buckley does......

Time to sink the boot into buckley again.... just like howie did to get it to the hobbit..... sink it in deep!.. I know you can do it!

So Bucks was being too nice to the players?

Looks like Steele really did let it slip

Confronting public assumptions that Buckley would be a tough and brutally direct coach, Pendlebury said that in frank meetings after the Carlton loss in round seven earlier this month the players had urged Buckley and all the coaches and leaders to be tougher on them.

"We said it is not happening, whatever we are doing is not working so let's call a spade a spade and if guys need to be whacked they get whacked, if they need to be wrapped up they get wrapped up for doing the right things we want to reward," Pendlebury said.

"I think today's footy it is a delicate balance of do you put your arm around or do you go whack? No matter how nice or how hard you are, nothing hurts more than match day when blokes continually won't do the things that have been asked so we can be as nice and connected as we want. But if we are not doing it on match day that is as honest feedback as you can get.

Well, I hope he cracks harder because it's working.

I have a ridiculously great life, I'm very well paid for a job I'd do for free and get to work from home (A lovely 3 bdrm house with pool 40 metres from the beach) with my amazing girl. This gives me leisure to indulge my passion...

Hey, where's my Amway order?!

Prior to the season I was pro Bucks
By Rnd 7 I was anti Bucks
Now I am confused
My new MO will be
If we win I come in here and call out all the Bucks haters
If we lose I come in here and accuse all pro Bucks posters of having their head in the sand (Sorry Jasper know you hate that term)

So where are all the Bucks haters now. Ye have little faith.

It's an option that a few people are choosing.

Actually, I run a Buckley options brokerage. We match up supporters with various options. Some fans have chosen to hate bucks on a permanent basis and just lay low when we win. Others have tried the opposite approach. Both are popular and very reasonably priced.

Yeah - I liked Bucks until this Season but after his Harden Up to the Club Worked. I am bit Confused

No offence mate but I can recall a few times last year when you wanted to sack Bucks.

Pretty sure Dave was actually alluding to that with "until this season" which in Davespeak translates to "I hated Bucks during our early loses to shit teams"

So his post translates as;

Yeah - I liked Bucks until this Season but after his Harden Up to the Club Worked. I am bit Confused

Yes, I "fully supported" Bucks in this calendar year at least since our recent NAB Challenge form right up until we began the season proper so horrifically against Sydney and then capitulated to St Kilda, Melbourne and Cartoon, but since his talk to the guys after Cartoon we seem to be faring better so am in two minds as to who I should blame.
