Trumps economic policy could be described most accurately as an internationally protectionist, domestic capitalist.

Its old school economics and unlikely to work very well imo. But he does have some fairly consistent messaging on this. He wants to leverage Americas economic supremacy against the world economy.

Any objections to the TPP, even if it's just from an angle of mercantilism are at least worth investigation in my opinion.

But there's plenty of noise about the unsolicited support Trump receives and relatively little about arrangements Hillary has, at least among people who claim to be notionally progressive. David Duke is an odious individual but the Saudis are many magnitudes worse.

Simply because it's more than just "a few nutbags" and given he has contradicted himself a number of times during the campaign and his comments relating to foreign policy are more dangerous than simply being naïve he appears to be setting the US up for direct military or economic confrontation with China, Russia or both.
