Where did I say I was happy with what we had? All I said was what the current board has achieved off field and that we should be cautious as to what path we lead the club down next. Did I not say the board had failed in making the on field staff accountable? Of course I'm not happy with the current clubs situation, but I can also keep a level head.

I'm not a fan of simply making changes for change sake. If the challengers bring forward a solid plan and spell out exactly what they're going to do and how the plan to fix it then by all means I'll listen. But if they come out and say "we want to make Richmond proud again, we want to win premierships yada yada yada" without a plan, then any of us can get up and say that.

Benny, Peggy and the Board had a plan... the plan was to bring the debt down to zero, play in finals and get up to 75K members. Many scoffed at those plans and for the most part the plan was delivered. Did they fail to keep a closer eye on the on field performances? Did they fail in making the on field team accountable? Did they build up our hopes by constantly referring to the "war chest" and fail to deliver? I would answer yes, yes and yes

How that gets fixed I don't know. It's up to the incumbent board or the new ticket trying to get on to the board to show us the way.

Doesn't matter what you do of the field its a sports club and success is provided on field. What's the point of having money when you don't spend it wisely?
