Well sitting around saying woe is us isn't going to get us anywhere, I hope our club are making serious offers at some big names players. Probably a 1% chance Mitchell will come to us, but I don't want us just giving up, I hope we put a big deal in front of him, would be the perfect replacement for Prestia.
Be an easy three way trade Prestia to Richmond - Mitchell to GC on big $ - pick 6 to Swans

afford: Money wise, probably back ended deals.
Trade wise: Hill Out (apparently 400k), i think hawks are worried bruest may go for money, litherland and sicily is enough
also big boy's future is in the air as he is apparently considering retirement. been thrown around quite a bit

very true. but its a good start. T-Mitch, O'Meara (If he can get fit) and shiels is a good starting point for the midfield

If he goes, then there will be another hole with Ceglar out for next season.

If hawthorn end up with something like

Out - Mcevoy, Hill, breust, Sicily
In - Mitchell, o meara, Vickery

I think they will actually be a weaker team overall personally.

O meara probably the unknown variable and possible difference between genuine shot at flag or falling short like this year

Lol ,

Cost you any hope of a flag no matter how good he was. You sound like a richmond supporter.
Didn't he gobble up 20% of your salary cap & take you to the moon? (er, I mean spoon:)).
Terrible drafting cost us a premiership. You cant draft 1 AFL quality footballer over a 6 year period and expect to contend, even with a superstar like Judd running around.

You guys really don't know what your talking about. Judd was great for our club on and off field.

Doubt we'll lose Breust or Sicilly....We'll also have Roughy back.

If McEvoy does go, we'll just pick up another ruckman such as Lobbe, would have thought.

Bit of wishful thinking on your behalf here.

If a one-man side & a decade of mediocrity is any consolation, then sure....Why not.

As good as Judd was Kennedy was worth just as much in hindsight given he had an extra five years to contribute. Then there's the draft picks you also gave up for Judd plus the draft picks you lost the next season, including probably a priority, because Judd helped lift you off the bottom of the ladder a season too early. It cost you flags.

Revisionist nonsense. The number one draft pick the year after we picked up Judd was Jack Watts. And our recruiters at the time couldn't pick their own noses let alone a half decent player. It wouldn't have happened regardless.

Before Judd we were Mark Nield Melbourne. He brought professionalism and gave our kids a chance to develop.

Bargain.

you were mark nield melbourne the year he retired too tho

and you really argue that the picks were worth less because you had poor recruiters?
