If we are trading 5, I would want Marchbank, Steele and a combination of WHE, McKenna, Pickett or Ahern. If Stewart was dominating the NEAFL, I would want him but he is not. So GWS can keep him.
Everyone's heard it.
So where's the third?

Once Graham hits 50 games, he will be every bit the player Lyons is. So why trade for Lyons?
here's hoping but don't they have their B&F tonight? Is someone close to/at Ikon to see if Steele actually dropped by today?
Yes but as was discussed on here yesterday, it's possible he had a visit this morning then is catching a plane around now to get back in time. Easily done.here's hoping but don't they have their B&F tonight?
I know the potential Gibbs deal seems overs for you.
However, I have been particularly impressed by SOS's list management for Carlton. Hes using his link with GWS beautifully and building you guys a deep, young list. From the GWS mob you are getting and your current list you will unearth some genuine A graders who will all come into their prime together (see Bulldogs for template).
Again, the AFL would block that trade on points alone, as well as any Veale deal involving out of contract Dons players.Definitely a dream scenario, but if GWS are certain they can nab pick 1 by on trading 5 and 7 to Essendon..who knows!

I did say 2-3 first round picks, I've said where 2 are coming from. Trade period is a funny time, never know what can happen.
This time last year, we weren't anticipating Menzel to leave. SOS could pull something out of his hat.
Pick 6'sPerhaps we could get a list of Pick 6's and 15's as well?

Sounds like we're going to get #7 back.
be more than rapt to be wrong.. welcome home ja... i'll waitYes but as was discussed on here yesterday, it's possible he had a visit this morning then is catching a plane around now to get back in time. Easily done.
Foxfooty.com.au understands Schulz could be offered a coaching position at Carlton with a playing role at the side’s VFL affiliate the Northern Blues.
Yeah I understand it from GWS & Essendon's perspective if GWS want #1 (and presumably Essendon want the same use of it as GWS), just interested to see what we give up and what we get back.If you're right about the capped points differential, it may be that GWS could still offer up 5, 15 and a player for pick 1 and change.
Pick 7 probably gets Scrimshaw or Ainsworth.
Pick 5 is a fair chance at Brodie.
We know Essendon were keen to get Brodie playing with their reserves at the end of the season, so Pick 5 might be the catalyst needed to get a deal over the line.
EDIT: Hoping we can get 7 back as well, would suit us quite well, but I'm not sure it'll be the case. More likely 5 and 23 for players plus 15 and/or 16.
Schulz would be a great get on those terms - development coach and Bullants player.
He is not worth x2 first rounders
BLUE STEELE.
Liam Jones would kick 50 goals in the NEAFLI don't know how you define dominating but I'm pretty certain he kicked around the 50 goals mark this season. Better than any of our forwards this season.
Not. the. point.
Must be our starting position. He's contracted, and they are desperate. They've approached us / him from what we understand, not the other way around.
Their starting point might be 1st and Lyons, which is a third or fourth equivalent based on their $ offer to him. Not good enough.
Their second next year will likely be around 35; 13 and 35 for Gibbs not good enough.
So that leaves us with two 1st (likely 13 and 15 or so next year). Or 13 and a good young player (McGovern, Milera etc).
we should setup a tent and do 5 hour shift work for the next fortnight. Is someone close to/at Ikon to see if Steele actually dropped by today?
