Yeah, Mayne AND Rockliff is pretty extreme, in several ways as people have mentioned. Hine loves some good 3-way action though, so it's not beyond the realms of possibilty, but... do we really need and can we really afford both these guys..? Plus WHE if rumours are true.
I know our retirements and delistings have freed up cap space, but we seem intent on filling it right up for the next few years again really quickly.

If we can get Rockliff I want him. He is top draw and adding Wells as well, we would go into 2017 with the best midfield in the league, by a fair margin.

This is a really interesting situation, though. He would need to dig his heels in and say "Collingwood or nothing" or we won't get him. We don't have the currency. If he does insist on us, however, we could get him for unders.

Having a want away club captain as your club's highest earner would be almost untenable, especially for a young team trying to build a new culture. Given his recent antics and his obvious push for a trade, he couldn't be allowed to retain the captaincy.

If he does stay on and his captaincy is stripped, the club could degenerate into an even bigger mess than it already is. I think the powers that be at Brisbane want to turn over a new leaf, which would have to include a requirement that the club acts more maturely and professionally moving forward. Might give us a chance if we play our cards right.

From what i could gather North will get excellent dividends for Wells possible late first rounder, and you would think they will look after us with Brown. ie possible a second rounder.
But Blair? From what i heard has been offered a 1 year extension about 1 month ago but still hasnt signed up Correct?

If brisbane want Rockcliff gone and we are the only club who "has very gently put our hand up about him" (Jake Nialls words) then trying to get Rockcliff for a bargain is definitely what we should do.

If you mean for witts and frost and is getting a 3rd round back back and his salary to be less than 550k then, yeah, we'd do it.

But if we do it, I hope we manage to get the other dickhead back. And by "dickhead", I mean heath Shaw...

Tbbh, I hate tickling, so much so that I'd be barracking for the other team every time he had the ball. I don't seem to remember him doing too much brilliantly in the last year or 2.
Maybe some of our experts could tell me how this guy would improve us and who's time in the midfield he'd take.

Is he an elite kick? Not that I can recall - although admittedly I haven't seen any Brisbane games not involving us. And even then it doesn't look like they have anything worth acquiring.
