I'm quite happy with our key position stocks.

Bulldogs just won a flag with not that much (Boyd had a blinder in the GF) but give Moore, cox and white time they will be good.

Not sure White is getting any better but there is def some upside with Moore and Cox. Cox Marking needs to get a lot more consistent. He takes some great grabs but then drops some my 10 year daughter would take. If he can gain confidence and consistency in his marking he will be a bloody tough match up.

Gibbs will get traded this is why.

Gibbs and his partner just recently had a child, This wasn't planned, Gibbs has been struggling balancing being a father and party boy, has done alot of late night drunk text to mates, his partner is also struggling with having to do alot of the work by herself.

They both decided it was best to move back to Adealide where both families live so they can get some support.

He has a valid reason to return home.

If true, sounds more like a valid reason to grow up, be a man and focus on being a strong supportive partner and actively involved parent. Instead, sounds like he's off to Adelaide to palm the kid off the grandparents.

Well yes good points, Its more support for the Mrs i think.

Moore - Yes (elite)
White - Is as good as he gets
Cox- Don't think he will get past 50 games

Thing is you don't want to go after a KPP just because they are a KPP. You'd want them to be good enough to move the needle for us. So everyone against acquiring say Rockliff, who are the KPPs that are a) available and b) GOOD (let's say a bit under the level Rockliff is at as a mid) we should go for?

I'd rather get Rockliff and rotate him and Sidebum upforward than end up with someone like Jesse White just because he is a KPP.

wot he said

according to damo again... we cant get both brown and daicos because we wont have enough points
Why are we giving the flog airtime?
If there is no bid in the first 30, which all the experts are saying is the case, we have plenty of points to get it done. Currently have over 1000 points and that isn't counting the picks we get for Witts, Frost, Williams maybe, Blair hopefully.

Don't panic and do not listen to flogmo Barret.

lucky for them he's on 600k+ a year and not unemployed with a mortgage. not sure he'd cope.

Exactly right. It might be tight if there is a bid in the top 30, but even then we'll still have points...the question is just whether we'd take them that high or not.

We'll still get a stack of points from trades involving Witts, Frost and Cloke you would have thought, and maybe Marley as well.

Remember there is also the 20% discount as F&S. If they are bid on in the 30's, we will have more than enough.

Fair point, I was more emphasising the importance of a big bloke around the ground/lead-up who can clunk them in the fashion Boyd did. But I certainly see your argument!

yes it's great to see a big bloke clunking them. looked like Wes Fellowes on a sunday arvo at Lakeside oval.

I honestly dunno why anyone is worried about this. regardless of how many points we have this year we can use next years. the whole story is non event.

Was just thinking that. Seems to always happen; listen to Trade Radio all day at work, nothing happens, then drive home and be offline for half an hour or so... and next minute we've signed a mop to go with our broom.
Listen to it on the AFL app.
If your car has bluetooth it can be played through your car speakers.

Just on Sam Mitchell. If he's traded to West Coast for a late draft pick, how does that help them get O'Meara? I understand tht it opens up salary cap room, but they are still in the same boat as to what the can give the Suns. The 3rd or 4th round pick they get for Mitchell won't help one iota.
They might try to free up a shitload of cap space and get JOM to put a ridiculously high price on his head and then hope nobody pinches him first.

All that is fantastic in theory, but it's easier said than done if you suddenly become a parent before you're ready for it. I know that I wouldn't have coped at times without support from my family, and I can count on one hand the amount of times in the past 3 1/2 years that I've 'palmed off' my kids to their grandparents.

Frankly, what you wrote there was a little offensive to myself and any young parents struggling to adjust.
