A bit more than **** all and a little less than half a bag of smiths chips.
I know they have had better concessions but sorry mate there is no way this is the only reason they are kicking your ass. Compare your team with the other 17 teams re picks - you should be super awesome by now.Your trying to sound like you know what's best for our club but you don't have any idea about trying to built a club in a rugby stronghold and comparing us to GWS and their consessions just highlights it. Chalk and cheese

I'm quite enjoying your posting (you don't take things as seriously as others around here and this was quite funny)Good, you'll see another one in 2 years then.
Then how did Hawthorn reach 69k?
Yeah - pick 10 must seem like the equivalent of pick 88 when you get heaps of concessions and sit on the bottom year after year getting heaps of early picks. No that was pick 88 for Sammy and pick f#@k all for Jordan Lewis
What is "culture". How does one define such an arbitrary term? How does one create it? Seems unless you have a healthy dose of success and a bright path ahead, you have **** all chance of convincing players that there is a future at that club regardless of how much money is thrown at the problem or which coach is giving the rev ups. Letting one of your star players walk for a deal that's obviously unders does nothing except reinforce the status as a minnow club that's there to train players for the Victorian teams. I can't see pick 10 being a great boost to the Suns "culture".But I was serious - its very hard trading players there.
They went into the trade period saying they want players and yet they will likely walk out with picks 4,6,8 and Pierce Hanley. There is a very big problem there
Why wouldn't they be spending the year trying to improve the culture of the club? Why weren't they making a big play for Sammy M as player/assistant coach? He would have been terrific for the club.
And a steady stream of academy picks to replenish departing talent that can handily be farmed for more top draft picks. Until the GC academy starts pumping out the numbers enjoyed by GWS, it's hard to see them getting to that level. But then again, GC isn't blessed to have an academy close enough to Victoria to benefit from everyone playing AFL and good proximity to the TAC cup either.Compare it to GWS - champion team, great coach, good culture.
interesting to see Cochrane being pilloried for doing nothing more than standing up for a struggling and stuttering new franchise
if it was Kevin Sheedy, we'd all be saying 'good work Sheeds'...Cohrane is obviously not in Sheeds' class when it comes to verbal dexterity but you can't doubt his passion or his pluck
as to why no other club Chairmen behave this way? well, desperate times call for desperate measures and things have rarely been more desperate than the current state of AFL in Queensland #deadcanary
We should be better no doubt but like for like is not a fair comparisonI know they have had better concessions but sorry mate there is no way this is the only reason they are kicking your ass. Compare your team with the other 17 teams re picks - you should be super awesome by now.
What's that roughly equivalent to.....10 and 48...?????
Bullshit. Culture was letting Sammy M and Lewis going for SFA because it was in their interests event though we got shit picks. Its about being interested in people long terms and investing in them. What is "culture". How does one define such an arbitrary term? How does one create it? The second problem is that GC is in Queensland, where few AFL players want to live. Moving from Melbourne to the GC is quite difficult when you have a family and friends, as you might understand. Usually when teams bottom out, they go straight back up in a few seasons. The QLD teams aren't doing that because their young talent keeps departing for unders, preventing the club from advancing. So clearly something has to change.

So pick 10 is ok though?
At what number between 5 and 10 does he move from being a broken knee degenerate too a great pick up player?

I wouldn't trade shiels or smith by themselves for omeara let alone with pick 10, 10 and 48 is a lot fairer than people realise treloar went for two first rounders and omeara would have got the same but hasn't played in two years his valuation is somewhere near Prestia's value, and they got one first rounder and gave a second rounder back.3 way trade idea.
Suns out: O'Meara,
In: pick 10, Lyons, 2017 2nd
Hawks out: pick 10, 1 of Sheils, Burton or Smith
In: O'Meara
Crows out: Lyons, 2017 2nd
In: 1 of shiels, Burton or Smith
Option for hawthorn if not Lyons for pick 26 without Hawks involved.
Only one of our 2 clubs has been on the brink of being a badge on a Demons jumper.![]()
O'Meara injured, Swallow injured, Bennell on drugs, Gaz injured, Prestia injured...... If those five were playing (full seasons) this year, Suns would have run Melbourne and St. Kilda very close.I know they have had better concessions but sorry mate there is no way this is the only reason they are kicking your ass. Compare your team with the other 17 teams re picks - you should be super awesome by now.
