Men are of course are not banned,
but the world is a mans world
Sorry not meaning to offend anyone ,
just wanted to advise of a new thread any of your female members
may be interested in so just offering an option for those who are interested

Well i can say the Cricket match fixing and cricket boards grab for cash in preference to the game itself ......saw me go from being a fanatic, to now not having watched a game in 6 years, and maybe a few in 10 years

No, illegally downloading is not particularly moral.

To answer your original question, I think concert tickets aren't really worth the money. There are no artists I'm an enormous fan of, and when I hear that the life of a singer is tiring, I don't have any sympathy given just how wealthy celebrity artists are. I think the cinema is relatively reasonably priced, but the footy is starting to push the limits of reasonableness. If I want to get a good seat for a game not covered by my bronze membership, $60 per seat is a bit steep. $15 for a cinema ticket to see (rather wealthy) actors just seems more reasonable.

So an increase from $250M/year to $416M/year = +$166M/year

So everything else being equal that would roughly put their revenue at $672M

$196M/ 672M = 29%.

But I wonder if having less games on free to air tv in the next TV deal will mean the AFL loses money in other areas like sponsorship.

I have no class. I actually don't think you are Alex , but I expressed my concern over a gender specific forum. If anyone was on Age of Empires last year there was the same problem. It was found to be a male who would PM all the ''posters'' who joined in the forum and made really poor comments. So in essence I am protecting the female posters.

I meant do you feel the same standards should apply to movie stars who earn millions on films that often flop or music stars who make squillions

Is it all celebrity wealth or just footballers you object to?

I think for a lot of people it's the latter and it's because they are so accessible which makes people feel they're just the same as me.

Taylor Swift, Jay Z, Madonna, di caprio, The Rock, Matt Damon, LeBron, Tom Brady these guys are so far removed they're myths, not real

Whereas footballers are much more accessible, they're not myths and they are very much real.

That I think is why people are so accepting of them being ripped off with tiny salaries from a very big pie
