Chinese would probably be laughing at him right now

They'd outright mock him when he visits there, probably. China's all in on the humiliation game

I think the Chinese are playing their own game. The long game. It'll take them a while to see what Trump is up to.
I dont think Trump himself would even know his own policies. No one has told him yet. ;)

China's cranked up the weapons and the "patrols" with nuclear bombers and announcing they're ready for war since Trump's One China jibe. They'll just respond in kind like they always do

The whole drone thing's also the Chinese's traditional very petty way of messing with people, they'll let Trump know what they think of him

It looks like a pretty obvious response to the Taiwan call, and an easy way to test Trump early doors. I think their conclusion will be confirmation of the obvious - Trump is easily manipulated. If they provoke him, he'll feel the need to respond and they will be able to do more (like in the Sth China Sea) on the loose justification that they don't have to listen to advice from the US, given it's a country so keen to insult them.

They'll send it back with a rootkit . LOL

It was a victory for snake oil salesmen, showing how you can fool a lot of the people a lot of the time, exacerbated by fake news.

History already being re-written only a month after his win. He may well prove to be a snake oil salesman, but to imply that fake news played a big part in him winning is just lol. MSM bias and collusion desperately tried to get Hilary over the line and failed miserably.

Look at the crap posted on Big Footy. Talk to people who think Clinton is 'worse' than Trump. There's a shedload of BS people think is true about Clinton. As I said before, I don't think it's 'fake news' as much as ridiculous spin.

The difference between the two is fake news is the Pedophile claims, or murder claims, or crime claims, or 'she's actually dead/really, really sick' claims, etc. But spin can be 'She took money from Saudis. Saudis also did 9/11.' or 'She voted for the Iraq War. She has Iraqi blood on her hands'. You can justify those statements as factual and of course people spin far worse than that to say '9/11 was an inside job' and 'Clinton is a war criminal'. It becomes non-factual, but when challenged they will reach for those initial facts while calling you a lefty corporate media war-monger elitist shill. Spin spin spin.

As for re-writing history, you may recall the softball interviews Trump got on talk shows which were criticised for not holding him to account for his extreme comments or impractical policies. You can also look at the fact the media rarely discussed just how impractical his policies were. They obviously thought he'd make a bad President. That was obvious to everyone and he directly went against Democratic principles which people had spent decades saying they believed in so consistency suggested they should be against his comments.

The actual 're-writing' going on is the claim that the election was all about the rust-belt. There's been far less comment about how Republicans still voted for Trump despite him being 'socialist' in his protectionism, or despite Republican leaders saying he wasn't fit to be Pres. Immediately they wanted to ignore the fact anti-immigration was the likely major cause, and instead they reached for an explanation friendlier to their narrative - that the poor had been left behind and were just playing up by voting for an outsider. That's much nicer spin than thinking 'maybe a lot of white people want to make America whiter'.

You clearly have not been observing. Months ago, during the primaries Trump was given a pass on every falsehood... and there were a couple...
After the primaries HRC was hammered relentlessly about emails that have to this day, led to nothing, while Trump sneaks through without disclosing tax, and one or 2 improprieties including sexual assault and racial vilification. This was okay. The emails not.
You are not informed to suggest that she was aided by the media. Quite the contrary, if you look at the facts... LOL

she passed out & was dragged lifelessly into a van. That's not fake news, people could watch with their own eyes & draw their own conclusions. Great example of the spin you;re talking about too - suddenly a 20 degree day is "unbearably hot, no wonder she passed out in all that clothing" etc etc. Pedo is post election and not focused on Hilary herself, criminal is not a an unfair position given her handling of classified info, not sure what the murder claims are.

Yep. They are factual.

Lol, you wanted Fallon to play reporter & hold him to account on his comedy show? He really played hardball with Hilary huh. Re: policy - you think the media ignored that to help him? They thought their best bet in sinking him was to go all in on scandals. That's what usually works. This time it didn't.

The actual 're-writing' going on is the claim that the election was all about the rust-belt. The Rustbelt swing won him the election. That's a fact. Exactly why any of those individuals voted for him is just speculation.

She was hammered relentlessly by the people, not the MSM. They spent about 10 minutes on the Podesta emails while giving Trump's pussygate 24/7 coverage. If you mean her email server, she was a presidential candidate under investigation by the FBI. So yeah, it's kind of in the public interest to hear about it every now and then.

Edit - and the reason he got away with a bit in the Primaries wasn't anything to do with the media - it was his charisma, & outsider status. The Republican machine did everything they could to stop him.

Yes - of course it is all very unfair.
Remember the way Trump stalked and circled Hillary in the 2nd Debate - it was predatory.

I was really scared that he was about to grab her you know what. And you could see Hillary was nervous too.

This kind of behavior is despicable and the media said absolutely nothing about it. It was right there in front of all of us - and nothing.

CNN totally ignored it and just harped on about Trump not accepting the election result and how it was a threat to democracy freedom and that it undermined the founding fathers.

Why can't people see that Melania is afraid of Trump? Petrified. She was sold to Trump by her family in Slovenia for a pittance and forced to participate in Trumps mad ego sexual depravity.

There is nothing to be gained from the US picking a fight with China, it's just a dick measuring contest and nothing else, and China has all the cards
Why do you think that China holds all the cards? I thought that any fight involving China and US, the US would win.

The US being in debt to China won't mean squat in a war. They just simply won't pay it. And they got to maintain their vast military off the back of Chinese buying their debt... oh crap. Is that Trump's master plan to make America great again...?

Given you were so certain about fake news not being a real story, you don't appear to know much about what the fake news stories were.

Nope. The emails were constantly referenced throughout the campaign. You are lying to say otherwise. Podesta's emails added to it and of course they were conflated to say that Clinton had been hacked and the deleted emails may turn up. Clinton hadn't been hacked, the DNC had, but that didn't stop the conflation in the media.

And just like all the spin about the Iraq War, we were all alive when all this happened so re-writing history doesn't work.

Nah, if the fight's in Chinese waters then the US would be at a disadvantage.

At best it ends up both sides being crippled, and if China looks like it's losing Russia will step in, there's no way Russia will let China go down the shits, and US won't win against both

I doubt it would ever get to this, but you would expect in this situation that US would have back-up as well. The US may be at a disadvantage in Chinese waters, no doubt. The US has gone backwards in many area but in military sense they still run the world.

Finally....Something remotely insightful from you.

The U.S are in debt to China to the tune of billions of trillions of $$$.
So it would be in China's interest to maintain the relationship so they get their money back.

The only thing US really has over China is war, but they would be incredibly stupid to get to that. Economically China has still got the world by the balls. If it ever gets to a world war we're all ****ed anyway, but the US won't have the advantage, China and Russia bandy together and that's trouble

There's just no way US confronting China wouldn't end in a cluster****
