Pretty unbelievable that that Gargasoulis campaigner didn't have to front court because he felt unwell, he was out of hospital, in a police car, and was only shot in the arm, it isn't like he is in the innocent until proven guilty category ffs, drag him into court, handcuff, and gag him, and get on with it.

Went out fishing for kingies in the rip today and nearly had a seal steal the live squid on the line. Luckily, we were able to pull the line up to safety.

Fortunately, seals are pretty good at not hooking themselves and at shedding hooks if they do.

I had one take off with my snapper one day on a charter (off Arno Bay in SA) and he/she ran so far with the fish it stripped the spool of line and I was left fighting to gradually get line back. When it had finished I reeled it back in to find a mangled head with flesh torn to shreds hanging off it!

The charter operator said they are more a pest than anything because they waste paying customers time on the charters waiting for them to finish eating your fish before you can get your line back. And then they go and do it to another person's line. Once they are there and they know they can get an easy meal they are hard to get rid of.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately last night/today has taken a bad turn and he's now on valium to calm him.

All pretty upsetting but I'm very confident he is in excellent hands. A psychiatrist is likely to be required tomorrow according to surgeon.

Having a community like this is a fantastic outlet and support network for sure.

We are always here to listen, any time. Really tough for your dad and all of you - sounds like they have all the support and care available for him but it's a lot for him to deal with. I know it's hard to see a parent buffeted and struggling like this.

Thanks Gaso. Found your Thai trip pretty funny - with all the crap that's happened, to keep spirits up been looking at my first overseas trip myself (36yo). Had Thai in mind with Vietnam and Bali.

We are always here to listen, any time. Really tough for your dad and all of you - sounds like they have all the support and care available for him but it's a lot for him to deal with. I know it's hard to see a parent buffeted and struggling like this.

Dad is in excellent care for sure. Been a much bigger issue than any of us thought, but in the circumstances Dad (and family), so far we have been lucky considering.

I think it is second week of February, but i'm gunna pay it next week, while i got the cash.

By the way Gaso, have you seen any of that French series Braquo yet, i think final episode of series 4 is on next week, as long you don't mind subtitles, this is a top show, i rate it a 9/10, and i'm going to rewatch all 4 series binge style later this year.
