Smarsh going along merrily as expected by most of us.

Could Renshaw be in danger of losing his spot to Khawaja for the first test after only scoring 11? Would seem a bit knee-jerk, I expect they'll at least give him a test.

His job is to blunt the new ball as well as make runs. Faced 41 balls and looks to have set the tone for Smith and S.Marsh (yea could've done it anyway perhaps). Doubt we think Khawaja could last longer which is probably more what it's about. 41 balls isn't a disaster.

Gee, SMarsh has taken every opportunity when it's been presented over the last couple of years. He had better play the first Test.
Come on he was only lucky to get a run because his uncle Rod was a selector.

Even if Renshaw failed each match I'd be playing him in all of them. The experience in the subcontinent would be invaluable.

It could also crush his confidence if he can't make a run.

I'd much prefer we try and win each game rather than try and just blood kids.

Maxwell won't be in the conversation

Not only are they wanting another pace bowler, not a spinner.

They probably rate Marsh better with the bat partially because he won't do the extremes of Maxwell

Well they are playing 3 spinners, 2 pace bowlers here, so with Starc and Hazelwood definates, they might still go the Big Show!

But if he was a chance surely he would be batting higher than 8? Seems a waste, especially when Mitch Marsh does not belong in an test match top 7

Clearly giving Mitch Marsh the opportunity as he has a chance for the first test.

They want to rest Starc and Hazlewood so they have no choice but to play two quicks
