Well, Wenger does get results. You don't finish inside the top 4 four twenty years not getting them.
Guess that's the difference in mentality between a Chelsea and Arsenal. 4th really isn't getting 'a result'.

I'm annoyed to be right about this Jatz, as I said at the time I just knew we'd face you with a new manager who'd get the win.
We may not have a new manager by then to be fair. Got Liverpool this weekend so I guess we'll see.

I'm done predicting what the owners will do anymore haha.

Mancini getting linked with the job, would be an interesting appointment.
Just anyone but Pardew.

Mancini has some playing history with us - wouldn't be totally against that.

Why sack him now if you don't have someone lined up? Amateur otherwise.

Well no, my point was he gets results, unlike Ranieri has been this season.
What, you're suggesting managers at big clubs should be safe unless their side is about to be relegated?

I have no idea.

I'd like to think Rowett is the one lined up but that could be wishful thinking.

Yeah Rowett would be fantastic.

Though if he keeps you up at our expense we'll have to deal with merson saying "See? See?"

Two weeks before you said that he should be sacked I told you he did and you argued with me that he shouldn't be.

Anyway, right call but probably a month too late.

I don't think Rowett will happen - as long as it's not ****ing Pardew I'll be alright.

Did I? Was that in the context of the players needing to pull their finger out?

I haven't really changed my opinion, my discussion with jatz was about a statement they put out saying they wouldn't sack him and the fact that wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

Yes you did. Think it was after we belted them again, I said surely he can't keep his job any longer.

Hm, don't remember the conversation but I'll take your word for it.

King Power's "...cash cow is the proprietary concession of Thailand's duty-free business."[2] The company is the largest duty-free retailer in the country. Its duty free shopping mall in Bangkok's central business district covers over 12,000 m2[3] and it has branches at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Thailand's other major airports. In 2015, King Power launched an online site selling duty-free and duty-paid items. They are a company with no respect for their employees acting fickle in making decisions. An example of this was the shocking dismissal of Leicester City Football Club manager Claudio Ranieri who after helping gain the club's first league title was then sacked less than a year later by the owners. [4]

You can understand the decision, but it's almost like the owners don't realise that last season was a complete fluke and that Leicester still won't ever amount to anything more than a yo-yo club in the long term.

He well overachieved last season, this season they have severely underachieved, the success that came from last season should have guaranteed a long term PL survival and sitting around top 10 this season.

It's not a knee jerk reaction from the owners, if it was he would have been sacked ages ago, it may seem harsh but it's 100% correct to do, now maybe with a different approach they can get some results and survive. However it could now be all too late.

Well... I have to say, of all the times to sack him, after the postitive result against Sevilla seemed to be the worst time to do so, especially considering we're actually in with a good chance to go further.

But alas, he's lost the players, he's got little clue on what to do, our record is the worst in the top 4 leagues, and this is all considering where the heck we were before.

I guess it is a Ranieri trait, the highest highs, the lowest lows, and well, this ends the tale tragically.

The sentiment alone should've kept him, but at the same time, how long could you run on sentiminet, especially if that got s relegated (it was OK last season, but certainly not this season.)

Guess who the current favourite for the spot is again? A classic footy-man English manager, who is said to be credited for truly setting us up for the title.

I have to say one thing: There is a clear split in the fanbase for those that want Pearson to rebuild the club and save us from relegation, and those that think it's time to move on.

It just seems that no matter who the heck comes in, there's going to be controversy.

That said, if we want to establish our presence, we need a big name manager. Ranieri was one of those, and we need a big name like Rafa (not Rafa himself though!) to come in and see if he can get the job done.
