I agree with Sanders there is no way we are getting Himmelberg, no way you'd let talent like that go without a massive fight.
If they are fully fit he doesn't get a game, pretty scary really.

I can see why we were interested

Ok. Not sure why that one metric has become the only measure of rebound.

The comment was that Williams, Shaw and Wilson are the best rebounding trio of defenders in the competition. As always on here, there cannot be any praise for an opposition club without a chorus of arguments about how we're actually No 1 in everything.

So suddenly we're trying to say that Luke Brown is a lightning fast line-breaker surging out of defence and spring-boarding attacks.

Actually he's a Nick Smith type which is not a criticism.

We're heavily reliant on Brodie Smith for our run and rebound.

Well how would you define rebound defender stat wise then?

Last year people here were saying he was TOO attack minded. Besides, as a defender your job is to defend
No one has ever said that?

It's not a criticism to say he's not a rebounding defender. Neither is Nick Smith and he's a premiership winning gun. There's plenty of other things Brown does well.

LOL they were absolutely saying it.

There was a huge outcry because we were getting so many goals kicked on us by small defenders because Brown was running off his man to rebound.

The ones I listed. Plus metres gained I guess. Rebound 50's, intercepts. I'm sure you don't need it spelled out.

Has Luke Brown ever had a running bounce for instance? It's not a mystery that needs piecing together with a detailed compendium of statistics.

It's also not a criticism of him. He does many other things very well. Every team needs players like him.

Each time the Saints have chosen to switch the ball it's been an unmitigated disaster. GWS just shut the space down so quickly. Force them to kick to a contest.

Yep every time they go backwards into the 50 they are taking a big risk. Lacking the skill run and fitness of older players to make it work

Oh ok, rebound 50's. Well Brown had 69 of those last year, Laird had 63 and Smith 87.

There was an outcry because we were getting goals kicked on us by small forwards. There still is. Brown's poor games last season were explained away by everyone because he carried a groin injury for the second half of the season.
