Even years ago when we were towards the top of the ladder under malthouse and Melbourne were on the bottom, they would come out breathing fire. We would eventually win but the effort from melbourne queens birthday compared to the games either side is notable. Pretty sure Malthouse mentioned this a couple of times. The point is that as a supporter I don't give any extra ****s if we lose on queens birthday as opposed to any other round, because the game is no different than any other normal game during the year. Except it's on a shitty Monday afternoon. There's no extra excitement, build up or rivalry. It's a nothing game.

Oh so presumptuous. Lots of Collingwood supporters expressing their displeasure (to put it very mildly) at the end of the game. They all went quiet when Neale Daniher went up on screen as a sign of respect for the man and what Freeze MND is all about. They all clearly had perspective about the difference between a game of footy and Freeze MND. Pretty poor "holier than thou"-style post in all honesty that completely flies in the face of what occurred at the ground today.

It's great for our club to be able to be involved in this cause, would seem to make more sense for the Big Freeze to involve Melbourne vs Essendon you would think. Although it does seem to raise a heap of money for the cause and we know what they say about fixing things that aren't broke so to speak. If it does the job for Freeze MND though it should stay as is (not dissimilar to Anzac Day and the RSL).
