GWS were making out that they needed to get him now before any other clubs nabbed him. So which other clubs would be interested?

Ive said before that GWS are fine if they lose 1 or 2 players a year. The problems come when 3 or 4 players decide to leave. And that is very much a risk - given how many guns there are who will all be able to get massive payrises elsewhere.

You make it sound like every club in the league will end up with at least one marquee ex-gws player on their list on a massively huge, inflated wage. And the longer it goes on the more crowded each club will be, pushing their own draftees Andrew long time servants of the club out in order to fit the humoungous wage all the gws players will be pulling in.

Not going to happen.

It was never going to be the cakewalk most expected for GWS. They have some great players but they've still got a cap and every year they've lost a player or two to the go home factor.

This is one case where the AFL got it right. They're a good side and I think Cameron is a good coach. They, like everyone else, will need a bit going right to win it.
