Have to agree at this. Too lightly built and doesn't have that fearlessness that skinny AFL onballers need. So much talent though, if he has the dedication he should be able to make an AFL career of some sort.

He certainly needs to have a very hard off season in the gym whilst smashing the protein powder, also not every inside type needs to be bash and crash luke ball or Selwood style.
Aish is very good at getting it inside keeping his feet then delivering effectively by hand ala S.Black (obviously not comparing him in terms of quality just style like).
He has been showing a lot of good signs at VFL level in it.
Who gives a **** what his contested numbers were as a jnr, only matters what he does now. He is too slow for an outside link role and needs to add strings to his game.

Not arguing in the role he plays that he isn't a good player im arguing he is suspect when asked to actually play tight as a KPD.
I'd suggest that he probably handles it better than most other 20 year old kpd's. Rance used to have his Arse handed to him and was a turnover merchant and Hurley could hardly get on the park for more than 2 weeks in a row. He will improve, he'll get stronger and quicker and already has the footy brain and nous to be a great key defender

Our best footy is actually very good we just can't sustain it for more then a half or counter a loose man in defence.
I agree. Pies are formidable when they get their running game going. But you shut down their run/connecting play through the middle and they look terrible. In dire need of a plan B.

Just for the laughs - what price do Demon/Crow fans expect the Club to pay if he nominates them?

I'd say Pick 10 and something else.

Pick 10 and 27? Would Ben Kennedy be of any interest to them? Return to SA might help with him.

Would absolutely laugh if Lever stays then when Scharenbergs out of contract next year he requests to come home to the Crows

Except Lever aint staying.

I'll happily admit I was wrong if Aish becomes a decent AFL inside mid. But this has Jimmy Toumpas written all over it. Just can't see him winning enough of his own footy and clearances to get there.

Got some very reliable mail that makes my previous comment wrong.

Lever is going to nominate the Dees. Highly reliable, only issue is a late change of heart or the person who would know, was lieing for some strange reason.

So you would assume it is pick 10 for Lever.

Crows screwed but not much else they can do.

Much more. Petracca would be about right.

Dees won't do that but pick 10 won't cut it. I use the Treloar and Beams deal as a guide. High to mid first round plus. What that plus is will be the matter for debate. A young KPD is worth a hell of a lot, he is already an AA (I think) or at least made the squad.

Yeah... it's Adelaide we're talking about here. They will ask for Petracca/Oliver/Brayshaw. When the dees say no watch this space on the bombers

This years first and next years second feels about right. This would be roughly pick 10 this year plus pick 35 or so next year.

I actually think he's worth a bit more than that, but as we all know, when a player out of contract nominates another club they lose a lot of leverage at the trade table.

Melbourne are in need of some midfield link up and speed so if there is another player that suits this (from Adelaide or a 3-way trade), then I'm certain we would up the ante.

Oh please Adelaide aren't hard asses at the trade table much to the dismay of their supporters they end up getting the short end of the straw with trades.

Our first and second round picks for this year is my guess at what it'll be if he does actually nominate us.

No they will not get it done

No way, so someone's reliable source on bigfooty was wrong??? Now we need to believe your new one.... awesome and that's why we love bigfooty because you just can't make this shite up:cool:

Francis and Essendon's 1st would get it done if Dee's aren't putting up a Petracca/Oliver ilk mid. Francis has everything you could want in a player, just hasn't taken preseason seriously - might have to go home to get it right - don't know what's up with him.

I couldn't see Essendon coughing up Francis and their first pick.

It all comes back to who Lever nominates.

The player managers go very hard once a player tells them where they want to end up.
