Strategy Trade and List Management thread 4 (Be sure to huddle around your transitor radio at 11 am Edition)

Is the Stringer situation beyond repair?

  • The club clearly want him out the door.

  • This was just a shot across Jakes bow as a means of motivating him.

  • The club is clearly a rabble. Sack Macca!

  • This is just the first play in massive trade that we are not yet privy to.

  • This is a game of blink and Jake and Conners just blinked.

  • Its time to move on a negotiate the best deal we can.

  • I felt sad for Jake on that stage today.

  • We've warned you about creating polls Norm!

  • The Jack 'Armageddon option' Watts option

Wallis was very honest on SEN this morning he didn't shy away from the discussion so I take his word for it.

True leader is Wallis. He missed out last year and has the right mindset by the sound of it

I'm not mistaken he said everyone wants stringer to stay and so does the man himself

Don't know what to make of this . Reckon he just has the shits after hearing a few home truths and needs to work on some issues .
There's been history of players doing this , and I can see mending of bridges . The media commentary is the usual hysterical overreaction. The grub Barrett has surfaced I see , as has TAB Schwartz. Schwartz made a dick of himself a few months ago with the JJ Stringer stuff , and you'd think he'd have the good grace to not shoot of his mouth .

Strange the cats asked the AFL for permission last year to trade a future first round pick.
I guess the AFL never explained the rules properly or they just decided to change them.
im not sure I'd be to comfortable if we did what they continually do . Giving up a first rounder continually will bite them in the arse

Well then Bevo did what a good head coach should do and said what had to be told. Jakey now needs to be honest with himself now. Only he can get him out of this. It's all down to Jake to get his mind right. He has had a tough 12 months but I have every confidence he will make the right decisions and be a long term Bulldog

Didn't say he was bud. Move along.

I come in peace but as someone who knows your list better than me what sort of player types do you need if stringer leaves? I hope he stays with you by the way he is an absolute gun and i hate seeing those sort of players leave their clubs.

Making it up as we go along eh.

Did your "mate" tell you who "they" spoke to at the club ?
Yep he did tell me who he spoke to and only passing on what the dogs would want for Stringer not saying that GC are at all interested in that

You are talking crap. You said there was interest from the Suns and were told WB wanted Lynch. So who at the FFC did your "mates contact" speak to ? One of you two are full of shi7.

By virtue of being a powerhouse for the last 10 years, Geelong have very little in the way of young talent coming through. Their established and traded-in stars/core are unlikely to go anywhere or are on the negative side of longevity. Their pick this year (if they haven't traded it away already) is too low. Next years would be similar in all likelihood.

Cant see what they could offer in fairness.

Pick 3 from the Cats or send him to the preseason draft for Essendon and I'll make the Dodo a happy man every time.

******* hate Geelong - they can suck it.
Pick 3 from the cats??? Carlton own pick 3 and we won't be giving up Cameron Rayner for make stringer and risking what we've built so far.
