Almost like we finished bottom 6 last year. Amazing how bottom teams get easier draws, just like exactly how its supposed to work.

St Kilda's draw this year was pretty tough considering ..
from round 5 – 9 we played all four of the previous year’s top 4 (three of them consecutively) then followed up with a match against the reigning premiers before the bye only to come back with an interstate trip against the team who came 5th the previous year I don’t reckon any team in the history of the AFL has quiet had a stretch like that .. then to round out the year we get a trip to Sydney followed the next week by a trip to Adelaide ..
I’m not sure if any other club played two Perth games and two Adelaide games plus a trip to Sydney and a trip to Tassie in the one season...

Here's this year's fixture ranked, using premiership points as the determiner... and also shows how many games against top 4 etc...



It shows how useless it is to try and sort out the fixture toughness based on the previous year's ladder ... because that ladder was also not a true indication of quality, and we have no idea what is going to change in the following year !!

The whinging is amazing. You played every other top 8 side there this year bar Essendon and West Coast and that's even with the ground being shut for the first half of the season.

and it's the only place they beat any top 8 sides....

Why? You have a list of B graders, and no matter how much you offer, no quality players seem interested in joining your mob, and clearly you're not great at development, so it's hard to see where you'll improve.

Our no.1 is in the midst of a finals campaign.
I haven't seen or heard anything to suggest Kelly has said no to us.
Brad Scotts comments recently reflect this as well.

I can see some of our youngers players improving with another preseason.
Jy Simpkin is one, Declan Mountford another.
Ben Brown came third in the coleman, he should get better.

Also what if Richmond has a finals hangover next year + a hard draw?

we've had a few injuries throughout the year, but it's all come good at the right time.

Also a valid consideration.

A home game against Geelong and Brisbane away, it would have been a much easier fixture for example.

Also noteworthy that the only time Geelong beat a top 8 side was when they were at KP, so that 5 of their 7 games there were against top 8 sides was 'helpful'. (they also played the Bulldogs there)

Your number 1 has already said no, and the thinking about your number 2 choice is that you are, at best, his 3rd preference.

North fans have been talking up their superstar kids since forever....So few work out that your recruiting and development must be seriously stuffed. The occasional exception (e.g. Brown) is a matter of it happening in spite of your 'development', not because.

Outside of Dusty, Riewoldt, Rance & Cotchin it's a bit bare.
