Happened last year for the first time in modern AFL history (iirc), what will the fallout be if it happens again?

IMO if it does it means it becomes a fact that the way the system is now penalises the qualifying winners, i for one called it last season, i predicted the extra break would be the downfall of the highest ranked teams going into the prelim, if it happens again surely heads have to roll at AFL house.

It'll be a Geelong vs GWS grand final and AFL members will find it relatively easy to get a ticket?

If both win though it just cements the bulldogs' 2016 as a truly great feat, not that it wasn't, and makes all the nimrods here eat their words

Given that all four teams this weekend are strong prospects for the Grand Final, it wouldn't surprise and won't be too notable. Assuming the 2016-17 pre-finals gap week vanishes, it will be regarded as an asterisk statistic in already competitive seasons. Teams aren't about to start tanking QFs anytime soon.

Personally I'll throw off all my clothes and begin violently rocking back and forth in the corner of the room

Would it be odd for Geelong and GWS to beat Adelaide and Richmond in the regular season? Not really. In fact, Geelong have been a problem team for Adelaide.

Last year, Geelong lost to their bogey team and GWS lost to a team that had more finals experience. It was only their first finals campaign as a club.
