Hey GR the U17 All Stars match is at Simmonds 1.30pm tomorrow.
It has Tarryn Thomas, Bailey Scott & Jacob Atley its a shame Crocker got injured but they are all playing in the Brent Harvey team v the Corey Enright team.
Unfortunately l don't think its being televised anywhere.....have you noticed any tweets?
Pick 4:
Luke Davies-Uniake - Bull, Tough inside mid but can find the footy on the outside as well. Leader and loves a goal. Would allow Ziebell to play forward. Good balance between defensive and offensive running.
Paddy Dow - Strong, rarely goes to ground and has some speed. Needs to tidy up his kicking but his turn of speed and his ability to keep his feet in the contest is what is so appealing. Good leader as well.
Pick 21:
Lochie O'Brien - Big tank, fast, best kick in the draft. Needs to work on contested game and finding the football consistently.
Hunter Clark - Bull. Luke Parker like, can play defence, forward and in the midfield. I doubt he will be around at our 2nd pick but I'm hoping he will be. Strong overhead and absolutely hates being beaten.
Joel Garner - Inconsistent year. But he is clean, smooth moving and good decision maker. Up there with the best kicks in the draft. Couldn't transition in to the midfield this year despite having opportunities.
Matt Ling - classy user across half back. Beautiful left foot kick, agile and reads the play really well. Needs to work on his defensive side, especially his one on one ability.
Lachlan Fogarty - One of the most consistent TAC cup performers over the last 2 years. Gets overlooked because he is a bit on the small side 179cm. But he is equally at home inside the contest or outside. Hard worker, elite runner, very good reader of the play and kicks goals as a midfielder consistently.
Noah Balta - Freakish, Athletic tall who can play ruck, forward and CHB. Really clunks marks, and reads the play well when playing across half back. Serious speed for a guy his size. The reason why he isn't a top 5 pick is because he doesn't show consistency in set positions.
Pick 44:
Liam Ryan - Freak. Just pick him up, high risk but with limited depth in this draft its worthwhile taking a punt. We'd have one of the most exciting forward lines in the comp with him up there.
Hamish Brayshaw - Should have been drafted last year. Been ultra consistent this year and has played as a 23rd man in the VFL and been competitive. Good inside and can find the footy on the outside. Tough as nails.
Pick 62:
Brayden Crossley - We need another ruck on our list, I'm not too sure Pruess/Goldy will be on our list last year. If they both are then we'll probably take a ruck in the rookie draft as opposed to the ND. Crossley is a big boy, athletic and gets around the ground well. Has a physical side to his game.
Pick 76:
Brett Bewley: mature are wingman/half back. Was in the VFL team of the year, booming left foot kick. Elite runner and strong overhead. Modern day footballer who I think would shine in an AFL system. Previous western jets skipper.
I believe it's being streamed on afl.com
Hopefully TBL l was aware of the U18 game on afl.com but could not find the U17 game.
Actually further investigation might have revealed me to be incorrect
I thought the U18 was on Foxtel sat morning. Maybe I got confused (it happens).
Seems odd to have an U17 all stars game and not show it anywhere
A statement of the obvious, spring chickenThere are players in this draft who weren't alive the last time we won a flag.
Damn I'm old

Great stuff mate.
I can't really see us going wrong with pick 4. Any of Rayner, LDU, Cerra, Dow or Stephenson are going to be good picks, even Brayshaw at 4 would be a good option!
However, pick 21 will be a lot harder. There is going to be a number of solid options available as it's slider territory, but the players we want may have already gone! I just hope we don't reach for a player that will be available later on!
Those later picks are going to be tough to genuine talent as it's lacking a bit of depth this draft, especially for keys and genuine midfielders.
The talent guys are going to have their work cut out for them. I just hope they don't go for any Max Warren/Mitch Wilkins types. We are much better off going for broke on high risk/high reward types.

.
I was surprised he didn't go last year but from what I keep hearing it's unlikely he'll go this year.
