Izak Rankine going so well for Team Enright that they swapped him at half-time to Team Harvey & no surprise he starred for them that quarter

Team Harvey now only trails by four goals at the final change and well within a chance with Rankin firing. Genuine gun for 2018 draft.

Apparently Rankine 4 goals to 3 Qtr time

I want him at North so bad.

It will be worth missing out on Kelly (temporarily (wink)) to get this kid

Who do all you fellow roo lovers think we should get with pick 4??
Iv had a look at all top 10's packages and tapes and I like all of our potential options.

Dow would be my top pick but he will definitely be gone.

Stephenson looks a real gem with his height and pace and if it pans out like I'd expect we'd probably be choosing between him and CERRA. In that case I'd take stephenson because of what I think he could become. Although he's not really that guarenteed genuine midfielder I think we need.

That's the end of the U17s clash down in Geelong. Team Enright 13.13 (91) def Team Harvey 7.10 (52). Barzen finished with 3 goals.

I can honestly envisage a situation where we don't have to draft Thomas until the third round next year.
We're lucky that him Crocker etc are landing in a strong draft. What you suggest is possible but would TT would be a first round pick this year. Unless Blakey nominated us we're no chance to go into deficit.

Where was the feed? Grrrrr. They said AFL site and there was nothing there.

Yes combination of strong draft and a low finish could set the club up for a decade

I keep changing my mind but I think Cerra. Start of rebuild we should go for the known quantity.

Maybe Brayshaw.

As GR explained earlier, the game was planned for Punt Rd then Richmond ruined that by making the GF, forcing a last minute change of venue to Simonds (and no stream).

Haha yeah so do I.
Think we need to go safe with it don't we. Cerra looks class. I'm sure we can get leg speed later in the draft.

AHERN looks classy hope we get him up and going next year [emoji3]

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-09-29/two-sides-to-gun-prospects-day-of-brilliance

SOUTH Australian draft prospect Izak Rankine was so good in Friday's under-17s NAB AFL All Stars game that he played for both sides – and still was named best afield.

The exciting 2018 draft hopeful started the clash at Simonds Stadium playing for Team Enright, which was named after Geelong great Corey Enright, and gathered seven disposals and two goals to help them establish a 45-point lead at half-time.

But with some injuries to Team Harvey, the opposing side named as a tribute to North Melbourne great Brent Harvey, and the lopsided scoreline, the AFL's selectors chose to switch Rankine to Team Harvey for the second half.

The 17-year-old continued to be the most brilliant and exciting player on the ground, and kicked another goal to help his new side get back in the game. Rankine, who played for South Australia at this year's NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and looms as a very early pick at next year's draft, was named best afield.

There is already plenty of excitement in recruiting circles about next year's draft crop and that was on display in the clash, which saw Team Enright win 13.13 (91) to 7.10 (52).

Also good for the winners was Zane Barzen, who booted a game-high three goals, while Riley Bowman and Max King kicked two. King was imposing and it ends what has been a very encouraging season for the key position prospect from the Sandringham Dragons.

King, whose twin brother Ben also played in the game, had six shots on goal and took eight marks in the contest. Joseph Ayton-Delaney had 22 disposals and four rebound 50s, while Connor Rozee collected 20 touches and was typically busy throughout.

For Team Harvey, Jack Bytel was among their best with 25 disposals, six tackles and four clearances, while Jye Caldwell impressed with 21 disposals and a goal.

Possible Geelong father-son pick-up Oscar Brownless, the son of former goalkicker Bill, also gave good run and carry with 17 disposals and five tackles, and has improved his game this season, including playing in last week's Geelong Falcons premiership.

Bailey Scott, who can also join Geelong or North Melbourne as a father-son next year, or the Gold Coast as an academy pick, had 16 disposals, while ruckman Bailey Williams booted two majors and had 16 hit-outs.

Who is the best kick in the draft? I would pick him, whether he's fast or notm
