Smith is 10x the player kennedy is... not sure why of all 3 you wouldnt want him.
He'd be my first pick.
Sounds good for us, GWS might not be so keen though.Adel get: Gibbs
Adel give: 16, 2018 2nd (Adel)
Carl get: Smith, Kennedy, 2018 2nd (Adel)
Carl give: Gibbs, 2018 2nd (Carl)
GWS get: 16, 2018 2nd (Carl)
GWS give: Smith, Kennedy

I think you need to actually look at the avenues Carlton has taken the past couple of years before you comment on them, your posts shows how little you know about Carlton's drafting and trading.Again selective posting about GWS players only
How many of your players are recycled player on your list ?
Again you are presuming that 6 will be regulars there are no guarantee's they will be regular players in a "top" Team
You can have them be regular players if you dont have quality to replace them with if they are not upto the level required to make you a top 4 team then its useless.
Might be an idea to have a look through the lists of teams that have won the last 2 flags and see how its come about rather than automatically presume that every player Carlton take from GWS are going to be great players.
When Gws entered the comp and sos was given unlimited picks for the next few years and all the players he could take from other clubs and they started their build of this super club the bulldogs and Tigers were on their knee's but have both won flags whilst the list that SOS built is struggling to get there and turfing players that SOS recruited.
These players are not bad but carlton need to look at other avenue's apart from just players that the 3rd or 4th placed team are happy to let go and get draft picks for them to continue the churn.
None of the players that have been let go to Carlton are players that GWS were desperate to keep, Sure some perhaps they may have liked to keep but were not desperate like they way they were with Kelly,Treloar,Patton,Cameron,Shiel etc
What i mean by getting their off cuts is not to mean they are rubbish but will just be average to good but hardly enough to win a flag as these players will be the ones that GWS wont let go.
If you cant see an issue with being too gws focused then with recruiting then that in itself is an issue , Best you will be is competitive but not successful in getting to the top
I would watch more carlton games live than you i would say , Been to 10 games this year and my best mates are Carlton supporters and they are just as concerned about how sos is going about it and the amount of gws players coming into the team.I think you need to actually look at the avenues Carlton has taken the past couple of years before you comment on them, your posts shows how little you know about Carlton's drafting and trading.
Not horse shit that Carlton probably have asked. Thats all that was rumoured, that we'd asked. Seriously, we've probably asked about your whole list. Its horseshit like the Griffen rumour.
We beat GWS this year.....I would watch more carlton games live than you i would say , Been to 10 games this year and my best mates are Carlton supporters and they are just as concerned about how sos is going about it and the amount of gws players coming into the team.
Just a question for you , With all the ex gws players coming into carlton (players the gws are happy to let go)
How do you believe that in the next 10 years Carlton will be better than and beat Gws

Marchbank i do rate and plowman will be a decent player alsoYou look at things so black and white.
Just because a young player comes from a club it doesn't mean they will always be worse than the best 22 at that club.
What is your logic to suggest that Marchbank, Plowman, Pickett and Kennedy can not improve enough to be better than other GWS best 22 players? Bear in mind they don't have to Shiel, Kelly level because we didn't pay those sort of prices for them.
The elite talent will be in the Cripps, Curnow, SPS, Weitering grouping ... through the draft. We will likely add Dow/LUD/Rayner this year.
I remind you again that Docherty was a pick #32 after 13 games in 2 years with Brisbane. In 4 years he has won a B&F and AA spot.
You are completely hypothesising as to the ceiling of these players.

The Marchbank deal was clear the trade consisted of Carlton taking on GWS mistake with Lamb and his hefty salary but with Kennedy and Smith they dont need to do that and cant see why they would let them walk out the door for little return.
Well that’s easy, culture for starters. GWS are a soulless club and if any Victorian team had that amount of talent stockpiled at one club it would be a dynasty.
If GWS has the talent at Richmond’s disposal they’d be bottom 4.
Can't even be mad at this level of trolling![]()
How do you think he got to GWS in the first place? Deadset dreaming if you think he won't do the same againScully re-negotiated his contract only last season to take a pay cut so we could retain players. Deadset dreaming if you think he will be traded.
Why even bother , With a User name like your's i wouldnt have expected anything slightly challenging to answer.
But hey you are a legend and say hi to your friends
Marchbank i do rate and plowman will be a decent player also
Pickett i dont rate highly at all and Kennedy whilst he was a high draft pick (tigers actually bid on him) I have not seen alot of him to make a call but do wonder why gws would not offer him a contract and rate him so low.
What i cant seem to get through is this, Im not saying they are dud's far from it but if a player has developed well and show signs of quality
teams do not let them go easily and if they must they will get a better return than just the chips carlton is paying for them
With Rockcliff choosing Port it has quite a follow on effect.Blues will want to keep Gibbs. Therefore without a second round pick it makes it difficult to get Smith. If a few clubs are into him+the fact he was offered 500,000to stay it would indicate a late first round or early second at least would be required.Forget previous years trading with GWS.Completely different set of circumstances as others have stated. Also won't help the crows who would have been hoping to offset the loss of Lever with Gibbs
Thats a silly comment and just a backdoor exit
What culture did Brisbane lions or Sydney have , Gws are fine with their culture i think you might be thinking about Gold Coast
You mention Soulless !! Cameron , Kelly , Sheil , Patton , Hopper , Ward , Davis etc etc etc all seem extremely happy there and i would dare say they are building a very good leadership group and culture.
Without having a go at carlton but until 2 years ago Carltons culture could have been described as 1 of the worst in the Afl

I'd expect Charlie Curnow, SPS, Weitering, and Cripps to improve along with some of our lesser proven draftees as well as kids yet to be drafted.I would watch more carlton games live than you i would say , Been to 10 games this year and my best mates are Carlton supporters and they are just as concerned about how sos is going about it and the amount of gws players coming into the team.

Pickett showed plenty of signs this year after being injured for most of his GWS time. He was the one we got with the Marchbank deal and it exactly his injuries that saw GWS give him up easily.
Lamb came the year before with Phillips and Sumner as part of our efforts to get Plowman for #28.
Many GWS fans wondered at the lack of a contract for Kennedy but that doesn't mean he was going to be delisted. Maybe they had to sort out Kelly first and by that time Kennedy had told them he wanted out.
GWS are a unique situation. They were overflowing with young talent and those still waiting in the wings or injured went cheaper
Ask your carlton supporting mate that 1st made the comment ^^^^ Look up about 5 postsI don’t think you have a clue what soul in a football club entails...which is surprising as it was a big factor in your premiership.
But carry on!!
GWS salary cap is overflowing, you either get Smith for a premium or you get Smith for a bargain with a salary dump.
I have NFI how Carlton are going to reach minimum TPP next year so taking a dump isn’t an issue when you’re talking about a spot on the list that would replace Simon White or Dylan Buckley - it’s neither here nor there, the main thing is that you get the one you want for a bargain.
As i keep saying, you only get one GWS in your lifetime. Give it another 2 years for FA and we’ll moving on their creme de la creme!!
In the meantime we’ll stockpile very worthy best 22 in any team by trades and draft.
My bad about getting all Carltons GWS trades mixed up but thats besides the point - Either add something constructive or dont bother as im not interested in playing with school kids that dont add anything constructiveYou're pretending to argue in good faith to rile up Carlton supporters but your facts, premises and conclusions give you away.
Clear that the Marchbank trade had anything to do with Jed Lamb? Lift your game.
Either way i hope he works out for you guys and becomes a decent player but you would be wondering why is there no other interested clubs in him specially with clubs like Essendon ,GC , Lions & Westcoast needing inside mids that can play fwd
