The 119 point loss will forever be the loss that keeps on giving. Mind you, I think the little pre-match sing along is more embarrassing but hey that's just me.

Fos Williams: "We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears"

errr, don't think so.

The hipster bandwagon Powah supporters who have jumped on since 97 can't see how they piss off the real Port Maggies supporters.

It's laughable how they have a singalong and their emphasis is all on "gameday experience", let alone using the team for a game for premiership points as a marketing tool, the real Port supporters would be like

"Stick the Gameday experience and pouncy singalong up your arse, just win farken"

And yet here you are suffering from Relevance Deprivation Syndrome.

No one cares about Port except to acknowledge they are a blight on this state. ;)

There is a strong argument to be made that they tore apart football in this state.

One of these sides was one of the best teams of all time.

The other side was Richmond.

Your performance was far, far worse.

Wow you really are incredibly dumb if that is the basis for your argument.

Most of the reasons that you've claimed Geelong were better are based on awards that players won after 2007. Who's to say that Richmond don't go on to win more premierships and have more All Australians from this point ? You're trying to compare 10+ years of Geelong awards versus Richmond's current premiership squad, you're whole argument is laughable and is based around #Portlogic.

The funniest thing is that you've spent all this time to come up with this, but were clearly too dumb to see the inherent flaw with your argument.

If you remove the post 2007 stuff things actually look very similar awards wise between the two sides.

No doubt Geelong went on to become an amazing side, but trying to kid yourself into believing that our loss is worse than 119 is possibly one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen on Bigfooty.

Thanks for coming here again and embarrassing yourself for our amusement.

7 out of the 22 players who played for Geelong were All Australians that year. 32% of their team. They played a Port Adelaide side that had 3 AA players (Lade plus both Cornes brothers) - 14% of our team.

2 out of the 22 players who played for Richmond were All Australians that year. 9% of their team. They played against an Adelaide side that had 3 AA selections (Laird, M. Crouch, Betts) - 14% of your team.

Geelong wasn't a super team because of what they achieved after 2007, but because of what they achieved IN 2007.

I bet if I asked you what 1+1 is, you'd answer 7. Because hey, if you remove the post 2007 stuff things actually look very similar awards wise between the two sides.

Wow just wow

Just when I thought your argument couldn't get any more ridiculous

Geelong are remembered as one of the best teams of all time because of their record between 2007 and 2011 (4 Grand Finals and 3 premierships). If they won in 2007 and then faded into obscurity they would not even be remotely remembered in the same class as they are viewed now, only a complete buffoon would argue otherwise.

If you can't even peddle your snake oil to deluded Port supporters what makes you think we'd be buying it over here?

Yep. If it's money that's most important: GCS. If it's culture: us.
If its a Premiership, its us...

They are now talking about premierships in October
!

Port supporters love reveling in their self proclaimed October-February premierships. It happens every year, once their failed season ends they begin to celebrate hypothetical premierships in the off season.

This year looks to be no different, they're already talking themselves up to be next season's premiers and the trade period hasn't even started yet.

Because watching you guys trying to equate Richmond 2017 as anywhere near Geelong 2007 is hilarious.

You got schooled by a bunch of role players because defence > offence.

Excellent

So it shows Geelongs development post this very evenly matched GF compared to Ports.

Geelong went on to flags
You cellar dwelt and were mentally destroyed for pretty much a decade now

Is it as hilarious as watching West Coast defeat Port Adelaide in the finals in an after the siren extra time epic?

What's hilarious is there is only one 119 and you haven't answered why these Superteams haven't had large wins against other teams, your answer was MEH. You're never short of talking s**t, so that response said it all, you had no comeback.

Hence more ridicule for you.

No one cares. No one will ever care.

When the quiz question comes up, what's the biggest losing margin in AFL history, the answer is not going to be "if you compare Richmond 2017 to Geelong 2007, it would 48 points".

It's 119 points, which Geelong won by over Port Power.

End of story.

Surely your time should be better spend creating ways to show Port have beaten every team in the 2018 top 8

Pretty sure we haven't, you came here trying to make an asinine claim that a 119 point loss to Geelong is 2007 is supposedly less embarrassing than a 48 point loss to Richmond in 2017.

We've just pointed out the stupidity of your argument and highlighted the nonsense that you've based it on.

I thought you'd heard the story as to why?

The answer is that other teams would go full on defensive when it looked like they were getting flogged. Hawthorn could have easily beaten Sydney and West Coast by 120+ in 2014 and 2015. Unfortunately, Phil Walsh told Mark Williams that he shouldn't do that at half time because 'it's the grand final and it's a spectacle for the game'. It was after that debacle that Walsh and Williams had a falling out and Walsh went to West Coast.

It's why Williams has never been given a head coaching job anywhere and never will, even though he's a premiership coach and quite good at developing players. He let his assistant and his own ego prevail against what was good for the club he supposedly loved.

So now it's Phil Walshs fault.

You really are a pathetic human being.

This sentence, to be preserved for all time as the most ludicrous statement on BF

Multiple premierships didn't make Geelong a super team. Beating one team in a GF is what did it.:D:D:D

I'm sure Mark Thompson and co would agree with that:rolleyes:
