That’s a fair dealHe's had more invested in to him than O'Brien. So basically you'd be happy for a swap of Impey for O'Brien plus a swap of your 33 for our 48?
Apperntly cats are the lead
This draft is a shocker
No doubt the draft is a fair bit weaker compared to the past season but I still feel we are pushing our luck asking for more.In this draft it's not as good. Probably around late 40s in last year's draft for comparison. The guy's 22 and has 75 games under his belt. Don't underestimate how clubs value that investment of game time. He's also not really suited to roles we want him to play. Could improve a good 20% if given a role ideally suited to him - i.e. allowed to play a bit looser

Pushing our luck? We literally hold all the cards. And it wouldn’t be the worst result him staying if a deal can’t be done.No doubt the draft is a fair bit weaker compared to the past season but I still feel we are pushing our luck asking for more.
I've obviously made my opinion on Impey clear so I'll stop now and just sit back and wait to see what we get for him and we'll assess that when the trade happens.
This year it isn't worth much. Next year's 2nd rounder or Tim O'Brien.Pick 32 is far from nothing. We should be jumping all over that.
well that settles it, then lolIt's a very fair deal
Jesus. I'd forgotten about the pens. NO DEAL. NO DEAL!!But what about the pens?![]()
Don't know why we'd do that, unless frightened that Geelong will match our offer.Well. Speculation. Ablett to Geelong. Motlop to Port. Port player to the Suns.
Impey will explode as a great player in the next 2-3 years. Super fast, no one can tackle him.
Atm his decision making is average, but with maturity this will significantly improve. His disposal is average, but this is related to more his decision making.
He can kick I've seen him do ridiculous tricks with Wingod on PTV...
I do not know why either or who the Port player is.Don't know why we'd do that, unless frightened that Geelong will match our offer.
If we take Motlop as a RFA, we then can offload Young for something separate, which makes more sense.
The draft pick for Jaxon Trentgove is likely better than what we would get in a seperate trade with GC.Don't know why we'd do that, unless frightened that Geelong will match our offer.

Is this a pisstake?
Nah, it's real man.
I've already emphasised a few pages ago that I think it would be bad for both Impey and the club if he stayed another year.Pushing our luck? We literally hold all the cards. And it wouldn’t be the worst result him staying if a deal can’t be done.
But we lose that for Rockliff, unless we trade him for Lobbe. The draft pick for Jaxon Trentgove is likely better than what we would get in a seperate trade with GC.
Who's reporting that?Well. Speculation. Ablett to Geelong. Motlop to Port. Port player to the Suns.
And pick 30 for Watts? But we lose that for Rockliff, unless we trade him for Lobbe.
So what could work:
Rockliff in trade for Lobbe.
Motlop in three way trade for Young.
Pick 30 in for Trengove.
Geelong supporting media types have been pedalling that for 3 months or so, including one of the draft gurus who works for Inside Football and SEN, Ben Casanella. There is no incentive to Port to do that unless Motlop insists on doing it or Geelong said they will match Port's offer but don't really want to keep him.Well. Speculation. Ablett to Geelong. Motlop to Port. Port player to the Suns.
The Age. Sorry, can't add the link.Who's reporting that?
Yeah. Like Gibbs...Yes we do.. we have a guy who wants to play for us, when that happens the deals are made. Whatever you believe or want to believe is irrelevant, we were saying the same crap to Swine supporters about Mitchell last year.
He is one of Kenny’s favourites, and has played 75 games in his short time here.I've already emphasised a few pages ago that I think it would be bad for both Impey and the club if he stayed another year.
When I say pushing our luck, the above line is exactly what I don't want to end up happening.
