I think you are miss interpreting slightly, nothing won from worse then midfield all day hence the fair track comment and the rain comment is to do with him being an old horse who feels his legs on these firmer tracks, he wasn't talking a heavy 8-10 slog just a good 4-5.

The margins are so small in sprint races its almost like you think because BC absolutely dominated every other sprinter then for another horse to be crowned the worlds best they must be equally as dominate. We will never see another horse dominate sprint races the way she did in our lifetime, the chat is about ortensia level which is as good as the world gets right now.
