Teams Green Bay Packers - The Frozen Tundra

There are plenty of other teams with the same injury problems as us.

Our problem and it's been that way for the last 2 or 3 seasons is that we get hit with injuries to specific units. This year it is the O-line and secondary.

You could go back to 2010 and we win the sb and have a shitload on IR. We do get smashed at certain positions. Doesnt matter as we all know Rodgers is a differenr beast. Season down the drain, arod covers so much of our oline play this year and even he has been a sitting duck. Defense didnt look like stopoing the vikings at times today. Worst way to start a day on holiday in bali. Even worse to later see rodgers might write off all season. Arghhhh

What do you guys think about our season now, like what strategy should we use moving forward to atleast get something out of the year. Start preparing for next year. Really emphasizes how important rodgers is to our team huh which most didnt need pointing out

I doubt Rodgers will comeback.

The rest of the year will be about development, not much needed on O other than at RB.
But our D constantly playing from behind will make it harder to evaluate some of the players we are looking at for keeping or letting go and improve from the draft.
If MM doesnt have a good gameplan for Hundley after a bye, and cant use him like he should be. This might be what finally costs MM his job. could also be the end for TT and Capers.

We will know more Tuesday.

Yep. Waiting until after this weeks game to really take much from the situation.

Aaron back at the facility today is a good thing. As Mike said it got the boys up and about.

Hundley spent a heap of time at the facility during bye week as most other players went away, as he should I guess but it's good to see.

If this week on offence we don't produce anything then it's going to be a long season.

Also McCarthy will get a pass because he doesn't have his number 1 QB.

This season is going to be about development. Will be good to get Aaron Jones more involved, Josh Jones, Kevin King, Damarious Randall, Kenny Clark, Blake Martinez all those guys extra reps and playing time.

Surely MM isnt going ti be on the firing line, especially with rodgers gone. He isnt coming back this year, and realistically its not a risk the franchise should take.

Aaron Jones and martinez have been good for mine i reckon and you guys spot on with seeing what comes after the bye.. hundley should have been trying to cram in every single thing he could in the bye week. He pretty much can present himself to the whole league now

Was so good to see Biegel out there. Forced a fumble too.

I guess personally now the season is just about the young defenders in Biegel, Martinez, Jones and King.

Hopefully Jones can go okay but yep ad he did struggle today. I guess Mike has called the season too.

Winnable games from today:
Cleveland Browns

Time to start sussing mock drafts.

the shoulder injury didnt show up on the medical report till lastweek. and then he saw outside medical specialists.

Some are suggesting he was looking for one who suggested season ending surgery, so he could be put on IR and collect his $60K a week at home, sounds like he either was trying to force the team to cut him or he didnt want to play on a team with no championship hopes and finish on IR.

Such an idiot... claiming that he needs surgery and the Pack doctor was putting him in danger of playing then he goes to practice in NE? Who are you kidding

in response to Bennett claiming the team Dr tried to rush him back. Current and former Packers players have said they were never pressured by the team or Dr to come back early, in fact they had to push to get back to practice or games.

I have seen stuff from Jordy Nelson, Damarious Randall, John Kuhn, JC Tretter, TJ Lang, Tom Crabtree, Leroy Butler. and stuff from beat writers who said the Packers Dr's are some of the most conservative in the league.

Funny that the day after the Pats pick him up off waivers he is back on the practice field.

This is what I don't get. How the hell is he injured/getting worse/only a matter of time till possible ir then a few days later practicing with in NE? He signed for three years with the packers right? I'm convinced he played through the whole of last year with an injury and some games it really showed. Then he goes to gb with same injury but didn't disclose it? Is that what happened? Apparently he saw three doctors and two said it was imminent he'd go to ir but the team doc said he was good to go. I'm assuming our doc has had a look now too and so far so good. Going by the evidence he's OK to play but probably gave up on GB once Rodgers went down and figured he'd go get right for next year, but the team smelled bs and cut him. Not that I'm complaining but I'd be pissed too.

I would have been fine if he went to the coaches and said cut me I don't want to play for the team any more. He only came to us anyway to get another ring and he lost that chance when Rodgers got injured.

He's ballsed it right up though and the way he's acting leaves me with no sympathy for him.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette believes DC Dom Capers could be fired after the season.

Capers was on the hot seat last year, but returned despite a bottom-of-the-league ranking. The Packers have tanked with Aaron Rodgers on IR, and were blown out Monday night without forcing a punt. Green Bay's defensive coordinator since 2009, Capers has close ties to Mike McCarthy, so an in-season firing is unlikely. Capers may need a second-half turnaround to keep his job.

They have said the same last few years. till McCarthy and Ted Thompson are gone things wont change.

I personally think this is the year Capers goes. It's no longer a talent issue, it's his out-dated schemes no longer working. We need to freshen the defence.

Man you've just got to look at the numerous ex players being extremely successful to prove that the scheme is a problem. It's time for a fresh start and it'll be extremely offensive to Rodgers if we don't make a move like this in the off-season.

About three years too late, but better late than never... McCarthy is safe as long as he has firing Capers to fall back on. This'll be the year though.

Will be interesting to see if we stick with a 3-4 or go back to a 4-3, but we need to get a consistent pass rush ASAP...

Those 2 passes in the 4th from Hundley to Adams are a thing of beauty. Hopefully he continues to play well for the rest of the season and drives up his currency.
The TD pass to adams was a great location by Adams. Was expecting it inside and then saw it heading outside and turned just in time.

The 3rd and 10 double move took huge balls to call by McCarthy. If Hundly missed that throw he would of been killed by everyone.

After the game lastweek we needed that. But O still needs to make more plays. If we played a team with a half decent QB we would of lost because of how poor thr D has been.

With how bad the D is. Might be why McCarthy thought Hundley was more ready a few weeks ago.

McCarthy just needs to unleash Hundley, stop the dink and dunk s**t. He's got the receivers who can make the catches ffs.

Give him the opportunity to make plays, he's been in the system long enough and doesn't need his hand held. Need to accept that he's NOT Rodgers, and he's not going to be perfect. But give us what he can do, that is make plays, and this season may not be a complete waste.
