You sure that was the game dedicated to Robbie and not an Essendon player? I thought it was the Freo game that was on last night.

I know they have been stuffing up some of the info relating to the shown program.
I recorded it when the Robbie Gray games were on. It was round 23 2011, but the title said it was a Hawthorn game.

Apologies, I misread your initial post and thought you were referring to the recent set of games on Fox.

Ah well, could be interesting but shame once again another ex Crowie:

SOUTH Australia’s favourite football son Malcolm Blight is home after nearly two decades away from Adelaide.

The man dubbed “The Messiah”, after leading the Crows to AFL premierships in 1997 and 1998, has moved back to SA with wife Patsy and will take up a new radio role alongside Kane Cornes on FIVEaa next month.

“There’s a lot of great memories here, both at Woodville and at the Crows.”

Blight will co-host FIVEaa and Crocmedia’s weeknight Sportsday SA radio show from January 15, replacing new Crows’ assistant coach Ben Hart, and will also help with the station’s 2018 AFL coverage. While Blight has years of media experience as a commentator on TV and in print, this will be his first regular role on radio.

goodness me
"Led by a rejuvenated Jake Stringer, Essendon will challenge for a place in the Grand Final. But at the other end of the scale, Port Adelaide will struggle to reach September."

"But at Port, Jack Watts and Steven Motlop will again struggle to find their rhythm as the club’s high-risk, high-reward recruits fail to gel as quickly as Ken Hinkley might have liked."

Did they just copy a post from the Essendon board? It reads we’re awesome for no reason and Port suck also for no reason.

the Camry supporters are gonna go into full hyperbole when Blight gets on air, they might think they are getting another ambassador but Blight doesnt have much of a filter and i suspect they will turn on him quickly. The truth will hurt for them

Agreed, the one thing Blight will do is call it as he sees it and that is highly unlikely to go down at all well with the customers.

They also re-visit their 2017 predictions. Note we are not in them at all, and some of them, like North Melbourne will miss Harvey were laughably easy to make.

These people who write these articles must get their media qualifications out of a cereal box.

Blighty loves Kenny! weird how they farked off KG n' put Wrinkles on light duties then bring in the 67 year old Blight though I guess appealing to a younger audience has been put on hold.

A classic Craig Hutchison move by the Croc media king. He loves using the golden oldies. But Blight is a good get. I wonder if there is another reason why he came home?

It will be interesting every 2nd Tuesday's when Ken comes on for his regular segment and the master interviews the apprentice. Could make for some interesting listening if things aren't going well and plenty of fun if they are going well.

I wouldnt be surprised if Blight gets there 5 minutes before hand after a day on the golf course and throws Kane right off his script. I don't mind Kane but he is like the way he played footy, very scripted and well prepared. Blight might throw him off his game on a regular basis. Will miss Ben Hart. He is a good operator.

Does this mean Blight will do the Footy SA show on Sunday given that is produced by Croc media as well?

This isn't a move made by 5AA management . Its made by Craig Hutchison at Croc media who when he won over arching rights for AFL 2 years ago said the deal would be that he produces other footy and sportsshow for the stations who already had the rights.

Maybe Blighty n' Patsy were always planning on coming home in their twilight years

I'm looking forward to Blight's discussion of how Van Allen belt radiation affects the right to left rotation of torpedo punts by left footers at the MCG vs at Adelaide Oval and how whether footballs are stitched in the morning or evening determines the angle of descent over the final 5 metres of shots at goal in night games.

Good luck with that, Kane. :p
