Well Freo just got towelled up by 15+ goals against GWS , Fyfe had about 20 turnovers , Sandi got used as a toilet brush by Rory Lobb and Cameron drilled 8 on AP

Before anyone jumps off a bridge it was on this AFL computer game but it still hurt , the neph should keep his head down if the real footy comes out later though

Fyfe , Sandi Walters and Mundy looked pretty realistic the rest of the boys could have been anyone though

Yes because they have our money. WA will always have 30-50k bums on seats each week no matter what they do. Good corporate sponsorship of our teams means the V(a)FL don't have to subsidise us or WC (or the WAFL).

We should demand that our Football department "tax" is returned to WA and the Vics can keep their $500mil from their Govt.

Also bear in mind that the AFL paid for a percentage of the MCG and Ethihad, but didn't put a cent into Perth Stadium.

40 years is a long time

Look how much the league changed from 1980-now

Basically blacklisting other venues seems a bit much imo. By all means have an agreement made where the MCG is the preferred venue for grand finals barring another suitable venue - but to exclusively use it seems odd when the competition is trying to promote growth. It's not like there's another suitable venue (realistically) and the deal doesn't incentivise other states to build anything, so when the next deal runs out the AFL has can say "well no-one built one"

I doubt WA or SA would want to build a ~100k stadium if there's not going to be any potential for it to be used for GF day for at least another 40 years. It's like the FIFA world cup - there's no point building capacity stadium unless you know you're hosting - the AFL has basically shut off any potential for other venues as no-one would want to put $$$ in to something that has no guarantee of being used in the future
