I was a vegan in a former life. I used to think that Not Bacon Bacon was every bit as tasty as the real thing. When I came back out of the dark side I discovered how wrong I was - although I still like TVP.

I dunno why people equate vegans with fake meat, none of my vegan friends eat fake meat..they eat vegis, fruit, all the beautiful stews and salads, pastas etc. I do make a fantastic vegan bolognaise sauce using quorn and none of my family even know the difference. Fake bacon..ewwwww cant think of anything worse!

When vegan I also gave up alcohol and caffeine. The upside was that I went from 84kgs to 67 kgs. Less than 10% body fat, and ripping fit.

Downside was that I didn't have any friends.....
