It’s very frustrating seeing Gold Coast lose but not fall down the ladder because of St Kilda’s incompetence. Clubs need the Suns to fall so that their compensation pick will be better. This is shaping up to be one of the weakest bottom fours in history.

The only club that needs that is the club who Lynch goes to.

If GC finish in the bottom 2 or 3 which is likely they'll take the compo pick and run rather than trying to hold onto a player that doesn't want to be there. Pick 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 in this draft is worth more to their list than any possible trade especially when there's chance to draft the King boys.

Yeah... like they did with ablett.. oh wait, no they didn’t.. they held onto him for another year and only finally caved because of the tragic circumstances surrounding Ablett and his family..

Ablett wasn't a FA.

He was a contracted player, Lynch isn't... Lynch is going if he wants to go, nothing they can do about that. Ablett was contracted so i am not sure what point you are trying to make, they are in no way the same situation.

Pies can't afford him and sign Jdg and Moore. They are out of the running.
It looks like Moore is likely to go. This will provide enough salary cap space for Lynch and also give the Pies enough flexibility to trade with Gold Coast if they decide to match Collingwoods offer (where Collingwood finishes would determine if GC match imo).

Lynch, De Goey, Elliott, Hoskin-Elliott, Stephenson  How will other clubs even be able to compete?
We can’t sign them mate coz some Richmond fan said our out of contract players will cost us more money. We are gonna double Greenwood’s salary and cost ourselves Lynch

So it doesn’t matter how good the player is, it’s how desperate the club is to land them? Tell me, why would Adelaide be able to pay a single first, for arguably the most valuable ruckman in the comp, who is under contract, and is his current clubs MVP? Because of what he’s currently being paid? Please....

Make a less stupid statements and I’ll give you more mature answers. Seems like you’re using it as an out because you’ve been taken to school on player value though.

We shall see. There’s every chance that they’ll regard the opportunity to get both the King brothers at the club as far more valuable than two picks in the teens.

Your definition of ‘more’ is interesting. Once again, you seem to be valuing all firsts the same. I’d regard pick 5 in this draft as far more valuable than pick 12 and a probable pick in the teens next year, and that’s assuming that his destination club isn’t Richmond, who’s picks are likely to be much worse.

Unlikely. He’s mentally checked out already, you can see it in the way he’s playing.
Awwww, you know, it’s cute how you think you’re “schooling” people on here... but I’ll tell you a little secret... I’m just giving my opinion and your simply giving you’re opinion.. nothing you’ve said has “schooled” me into thinking that you’re some expert that knows all and that your opinion is any more valid than my own.. and here’s some timely advise or “schooling” if that’s how you like to put it.. when you resort to petty abuse in your responses people listen to your “schooling” even less..

The conversation, before I posted my first comment, was about tom lynch and what the suns would expect to get for him and whether the pies could come to the table in any trade.. I simply put forward trading Grundy as an option to get pick(s) with which to trade for lynch..

You, and a few other pies supporters, obviously don’t like that option, that’s your prerogative. I also think it’s funny that a couple of pies supporters here think every great player that could potentially be traded into the pies is only worth 1 first rounder/compo pick yet any great players that potentially traded out of the pies is worth two!.. but it’s like all supporters I suppose, they want to sell high and buy low... problem is everyone else (including the suns on lynch) is thinking the same.

Geez... how much is Moore on?..

They’ve gotta spend some big dollars to keep degoey too..

Then, when grundy’s contract is up they’re gonna need to up his pay from $600k (as reported here by some pie supporters) to $1.2 million atleast given that he’s in the top 5 players in the league right (according to some here)..

Finally an opposition fan that has a clue

Haven’t been linked but I hope we are making a strong offer.
We severely lack a full forward target with any sort of smarts.
Daniher at chf, Lynch at ff and the likes of tippa, Fanta and stringer hanging around is a good forward line
