No I don’t think Richmond is a more logical choice for him at all. (Hiding to nothing) If they win it again this year then what???? perhaps 1 more if they are lucky with their key senior players not getting injuries as they begin to lose the a.se out the other end.

If I was Lynch and looking at where clubs are currently situated then Collingwood would be the most enticing for me and why you ask...

1.Pies have a million midfielders
2.Pies have good small forwards I can work with
3.Pies now finally play an attacking game style that is fast and exciting.
4.Pies play in front of massive crowds each week.
5.I can be the icing on the cake at the Pies to help them win a flag.
So the people who have close ties to his family etc are saying he is going to Collingwood?

Pies are one bad draw away from 9th and below and a new coach

We better hope to land at least two guns or we are screwed for a long time.
Hehe, when you're down you're really down mate. It's not that bad.

Our list will get a renovation this year. That's pretty clear.

Whether we pick up two guns or not, we will still be the same great cultured club with a top line coach that players and their managers will entertain joining in 2019, so at worst we're 12 months away from tapping into some more out of contract superstars(Kelly, May, Cogs, Shiel etc).

Mozzie and our first rounder will be pretty handy additions as it stands - and if we do indeed trade our first for player it will be a more than handy player that we get in return(pick currency in this draft is raised).

On top of that, I have zero doubt that we have a couple of players who do not yet have the notoriety on the his board that we will be looking to bring in(think of Impey).

We're a middling team, but a couple of cheap additions could really change our fortunes(and of course Cogs and Lynch would do that even greater).

Yeah we can wait a year for Cogs but I fully support our first pick in the super draft for him.

You can all sue me

Then get Mozzie and either the McGovernment or Lynch

Yeah....but I just cant see TL down at the tatt palour getting his sleeve done, and I am sure he would prefer to keep his teef

I have some info but not for here. Ruff and TL NOT connected. Should Ruff be fine physically he is IN next years plans.

wont press you, but do you expect GC to match the offer and force a trade with whoever he chooses

What are you expecting with Birch at this stage. I read somewhere (on BF) that his knee is worse than reported - bone on bone.
Not sure how credible the poster was, but was on the Hawthorn board

The AFL should force GC to accept the Pick 3 compo for Lynch as they won't do better than that in a trade, after all the GC are the AFL's club.

Better leaders are more important for improvement, then having lower draft picks.
To improve, Tom is looking for it and the Gold Coast need to look for it as well.

I don't think having another highly rated teenager who shows potential and probably does not really want to be there, is what the Gold Coast need to get better.

I think they need the influence of senior players that have experience with success and who do actually want to play for them.

Both easily more valuable then pick 3.

Remains to be seen if they are as good as their current ladder position suggests though, only beaten one top 8 side to date which isn't really reflective of top 4 status under normal circumstances.

Both easily more valuable then pick 3.

What senior contracted player is going to agree to go the basket case that is the Gold Coast Suns ?

Totally - Brissy aren’t there yet but this strategy already appears to be working there.

Dew would know this

I know :(

I actually never feel down about the Mighty Hawks under Clarko but this year is getting to me.

I wonder whether my favourite player from last year Toby not kicking on is the most of it...

I definitely choose to opt-in. Pledging my full support to your group in any class action that may arise in the trading of our first pick or any extra pick needed for Cogs.

Except for stratton and shiels?

I hope it's not too tough for you when we only pick up Jesse Lonergan at the end of year...

Pick 3 in this draft is strong currency - if they are effectively happy to deal it they should have been in the ear and offering a ridiculous amount of money to the likes of Ollie Wines, that’s the type of player they should give up pick 3 for, not veteran leadership.

Otherwise you go to the draft with picks 2 and 3 and target the leadership by other means - i.e. bring in McVeigh and Whitecross as FA’s, trade late picks like the Hodge/Mitchell deals while still bringing in the elite young talent.

GC have lost the plot if they are giving away pick 3 to “save face” (that’s a misguided perception), or to bring in anything other than elite talent entering their prime.

Someone better remind Cocky we got pick 19 for Buddy so take your pick 3 handout and rack off.
