Regarding the Gaff hit on Brayshaw. It kicked off after that. There's going to be a lot of fines handed out from that game. What do you mean?

Honestly, wouldnt be surprised if they threw the book at him and gave him 10-12.8 weeks I believe.
Gaff could easily get that
Johnson and another Freo guy got Gaff in a real good bump, ball wasn't really there eitherWhat do you mean?

Reckon Ross was telling Balla to go after him as well, Simpson was wise to tell Gaff to stay off the field
Simpson didn't tell Gaff to stay off. He ran out the game.Johnson and another Freo guy got Gaff in a real good bump, ball wasn't really there either

That'll show me for having an idea of Mike Smyth's posting history!
You can't compare it to Hall's hit, that was over 10 years ago now. If Hall did the same hit today I'd times it by 1.5 whatever it got back then. It's not in the same class as the Hall king-hit. What did he get? Should be less than that, but the broken jaw might make it worse. Was Hall's victim damaged, apart from the concussion?
I wonder if his contract situation has put additional pressure on him and then I think his manager (Connors IIRC) made some recent comments to the effect that six Vic clubs were chasing him.For a player that has never seemingly played in such a physical fashion, what the hell possessed him to do that? He's a great player but that will be one of the defining moments of his career, much like Hall v Staker.

Yep6-8 weeks
Have to agree with this. Complete act of cowardice and deserves everything he gets for it.Yeah, I know this is a man's game. But something about doing that to a skinny 18 year old kid makes it even worse than if it was just another bloke. It was a cowardly, disgraceful act no matter who he hit. But, it just makes it a little bit worse. Imagine how this looks to mums and dads with talented 14 year old kids. We are saying sacrifice your time and money into this and your kid could be an Andy Brayshaw in 4 years time. Well that promise doesn't look so good today.
Yes - 7 weeks, 11 years ago.You can't compare it to Hall's hit, that was over 10 years ago now. If Hall did the same hit today I'd times it by 1.5 whatever it got back then.

Destroyed her haha. Tbf her questions were pretty dumb.Gee Ross the boss was pissed in the presser, poor female journalist copped ross’s Bad mood.
What i find ridiculous in modern society is the need for people to compete for outrage. While by no means excusing his actions, and by no means should it reduce the penalty, Gaffe appears genuinely shattered about what he's done.
We're lucky that our rivalry is built on good strong football not on that kind of shit.

Reading twitter and other social media calling Gaff a dog or dog act or actually anything else is a sad reflection of modern footy fans.
Gaff has ****** up and ****** up really really badly, but that's it, he isn't a worse person because of it. People need to get a grip.
