I don’t want to see Ryder for the rest of the year or until he is fit. We are a bit no Ryder no Port, but him going ooff was Fremantle revisited. And play a fcccccccccing ruckman. I have said it before we stuffed this season by going in without s proper back up ruckman.

The worst bit for me was that I barely even care. That’s what Port has become to me the last few seasons

Yep, I used to stand in the pouring rain and cheer my heart out for Port, even when we were utter rubbish and playing in the concrete shithole that was AAMI stadium.

Now, I can barely muster the energy to switch the tv on. I have totally and completely checked out. I called it about halfway through the first quarter that this game would end like this, and I gain no satisfaction from being right. It's just classic Hinkley ball.

People say it's a pipe dream to sack him. I say, this will be Choco all over again. It will eventually get to the point where falling crowd numbers and engagement will mean we have no choice but to give him the flick. It'll probably take another twelve months, but it will happen.

Anyway, in the meantime, down the drain goes our premiership window. A pity.

This is bullshit. The players did an awesome job in the last quarter to hold on as long as they did without Dixon or Ryder helping them win the ball, and arguably our best ball user oh the night in Houston.

It was literally 19vs25 and we lost after the siren after Westhoff was pushed in the back as he was about to win the centre clearance from the final bounce.

I'd given up on this year and watched tonight purely out of interest so didnt kick the cat when we lost. Didnt care whether we won or lost. Good to see you'll join me this week.

Watching in a detached way I thought Port played the game as best as possible. They couldn't let WC burn them with pace over the back or on the rebound so had to play the defensive game and did it pretty well. The last 80 secs, not so well.

I will say that after the way that final quarter was umpired, how Westhoff did not get a free at that final centre bounce I'll never know. Maybe the umpires DID care about our comments last week.

Just got back from the game and a disappointing result. The cross esction of supporters around me and those in the lift also shared that disappointment. However, their was no mutterings, criticism of coaches, players as under the circumstances we were stiff to loose. So i acknowledge those supporters at the game, who supported and were disappointed but had enough football understanding iq what had happened and why. I cant say that the comments of many above would have fitted in with the footy iq of supporters at the game.
