Gary Rohan for not much anyone?
Yes he's injury prone but I like what he has to offer as a player.
If we're looking at challenging now and he's not too expensive i think he's well and truly worth it as a borderline 22 player and option for the HFF.

nor should we. That's overpaying for Gaff

I am sure we will manage this very well - look at last draft we did over GC beautifullyWe should definitely match and force a trade scenario.
North is offering $350k more pa thats two fringe players salaries.
If Gaff elects to move it more than just for money. I would bwt a body part if we matched he would still want to go.
Hit up Norths for their first and a ruck either Goldie, Pruess or even Daw.
No way will Norths let a gun like Gaff off the hook after being rejected by ao many others.
If Goldie doesnt want to go West he goes to Geelong and helps us land Kelly.
We did, but the other clubs might be onto us now. I hope Rawlings still has another ace up his sleeve! Last year was an absolute masterstroke.I am sure we will manage this very well - look at last draft we did over GC beautifully
surely they aren't ready to get rid of SPP.
We should give Gaff permission to make his mind up - and that includes if he wants to chat to other clubs.
The negligible benefit of having him around the club now, is more than offset by the potential benefit of knowing in advance our list management strategy
If he is leaving, we will know the salary - then that allows us to either work out how we match or how we replace him in the squad.
Much better alternative than finding out in a couple of months and we're caught with our pants down
I know he's contracted, but I wouldn't mind Declan Mountford being included as steak knives in a possible Gaff trade with North
Hopefully Polec agrees to go there first and takes some potential Gaff money off the table.Surely North's offer would be too big to match.
The offer for Lycett could be matched though, right? Or if it's Band 2, we'd probably suck it up?The flip side of us doing unexpectedly well this season and reaming Gold Coast is we get shafted on FA compo should Gaff and/or Lycett leave
If gaff decides to go to North it'll be because they put an offer on the table we can't get close to, so talk of matching is just that - talk
We'll put our best possible offer to him after going through with his manager what needs to be done to keep him and if it isn't enough then first band compo it'll be
The flip side of us doing unexpectedly well this season and reaming Gold Coast is we get shafted on FA compo should Gaff and/or Lycett leave
Yeah we'd probably be able to match for Lycett to force a trade as his decision is likely more to do with opportunity and less about moneyThe offer for Lycett could be matched though, right? Or if it's Band 2, we'd probably suck it up?
I think if gaff goes he will be doing so because he wants to go home so he will be choosing a team based on both money and the best fitIf gaff decides to go to North it'll be because they put an offer on the table we can't get close to, so talk of matching is just that - talk

It's pretty cheeky for him to leave for "opportunity". He'd have had a shitload of opportunity last season had he not got injured. He's got a shitload of opportunity this season. And he'll have a shitload of opportunity next season. So he's going to leave because he might have to share the load with Naitanui in 2020? It's not like Naitanui is going to be playing big minutes. There is ample room for both of them. If Lycett becomes a top-liner, we're not going to be leaving him on the bench for half the game.Yeah we'd probably be able to match for Lycett to force a trade as his decision is likely more to do with opportunity and less about money
Ordinarily, sure. The splashback is we'll be without a ruckman in 2019.I'm hoping that we get band 2 for Lycett. Which is a pretty good outcome.
