still have quite a few unsigned the old SunniesAdding more E graders doesnt improve the deal as GC need to find list spots for them.
It might just be you... But I would be a huge fan if we had a crack. Is it just me or does anyone else have a feeling about Tom Scully coming to Geelong ?
Couldn't get Steven and replace him with Scully ?

For all the shit he copped for leaving the Dee's he is a machine and developed into a very good player

Yeah, I get a similar vibe. I think the club may not be taking too kindly to the Eagles being in Kelly's ear all year.Given how we normally are great to deal with I'd suggest there may be more to this one than meets the eye to be honest.. Something is making us play harder than normal.

I reckon the Eagles/Kelly may have been banking on "soft Geelong" to roll over on compassionate grounds.
Nobody likes to have their generosity taken for granted.
It's almost to the point I want geelong to spite trade him to fremantle anyway for a packet of chips pick 40. Sit at the table and say what now your going back to Perth you want to stay ?
I'm with you....an absolute quality player who runs all day.....
Sadly, I doubt we have the cap space to look after him.
Josh Kelly mark 2, incredible mover and silky smooth but cant help to think he is one wrong twist or turn away from blowing out a knee, some of those turns are on a dime and would put real pressure on his body. This one is for Boris323 and probably the reason why Luke power and any number of recruiters have described this kid as the most talented they have ever seen and hence there is a significant gap ahead of Rozee.
That was last year as a bottom ager
This is in the National Champs GF this year. Just watch and enjoy.
Especially if Freo get Hogan and Lobb and start to improve a little, they may be a more attractive proposition next year, and willing to offer a lot more. A lot can change in 12 months of football. Buckley was going to be sacked this time last year and didn't Robert Walls have WC getting the spoon or something ridiculous like that? The reason why Geelong is playing ‘hard ball’ is that Kelly is a genuine star player. We have not been in trade negotiations for a player of this caliber leaving our club before (Ablett there was no deal).
What the club seems to get (that people on here don’t seem to get) is the vast majority of players swapped are worth very little and are interchangeable, Kelly is not that type of player, hence we are holding our ground.
Geelong will get the pick they want or something very close to it, or they won’t do it. This is the Eagles best chance at him, if he stays another year, Freo become favourites.
They will pay up.

Nothing, they've said many times that Lobb and Hogan are their focus not sure why people keep running with bullshit Freo trade rumoursWhat have Freo actually offered?
In a perverse way, I’m hoping Kelly doesn’t get traded and plays next year just to witness the guaranteed shitstorm that will brew between his missus and his manager on social media.
FWIW I’d take the two picks in the 20s and be done with it, even better one of the picks and Brander but that doesn’t seem likely.
No point being dicks about it, the wheel will turn and there’ll be a WC player wanting to come back to Vic - these things have a way of working themselves out, and family is far more important than footy!

Nothing publically, but Wells has confirmed that they’re very interested.Nothing, they've said many times that Lobb and Hogan are their focus not sure why people keep running with bullshit Freo trade rumours
We can't pay up though if we don't have the picks, and I don't see Clubs lining up at the door wanting to change picks to enable us to get the deal done. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out?The reason why Geelong is playing ‘hard ball’ is that Kelly is a genuine star player. I was thinking that as well. Two things actually which is one more than normal: a) club have been let down by expectation and dealing with TK/mgmt. b) club has their eye on the prize-and I doubt that this hasn't been all worked out pretty well before now. Fact that we talked to Freo when TK's mgmt. indicated he wanted either WC or Geel or bust makes me think something is not quite right. Go home factor, go home to anywhere you can.Given how we normally are great to deal with I'd suggest there may be more to this one than meets the eye to be honest.. Something is making us play harder than normal.
He is a bit nob isn't he?Is it just me or does anyone else have a feeling about Tom Scully coming to Geelong ?

We all don't know what is happening behind close doors, we don't know what deals clubs are doing with picks etc, we are just keyboard warriors wanting the best deals for our clubs. We can't pay up though if we don't have the picks, and I don't see Clubs lining up at the door wanting to change picks to enable us to get the deal done. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out?

But you do have picks 20,21 and next years first round plus players you could trade. Could’ve traded the picks from this year to Sydney but missed that. I think the Eagles do have the currency and any team does it’s just that they’ve given no indication of what they’re willing to trade. We can't pay up though if we don't have the picks, and I don't see Clubs lining up at the door wanting to change picks to enable us to get the deal done.
