I know right. My point is that Anzac Day will be the priority, but there's no reason the AFL can't just keep it as North v Essendon (or Essendon v North on alternating years).

They're talking about locking in the fixture for a period of time (the suggestion was 3-5 years), which would allow us to not play on that day in 2025 anyway

First one was great footy, good crowd. Gil had to shoehorn his beloved Saints in there though (coz they are going broke).

Considering it was round 2 and St Kilda were reasonably highly fancied coming into the season and comfortably beat Brisbane in round 1, I can't see how it was St Kilda's fault the crowd was shithouse - plus it was a Norf home game.

I'm guessing that makes it a bit unfair for Collingwood though - unless they slot them into GF eve and an extra day rests into perpetuity
