At his age it's probably best he sticks to being a gun limited overs player. He's a star in that form and could carry us for a few years

Its a shame he got stiffed in Melbourne because in both inning he looked like a big score was likely. Is a better player than Khawaja until Khwaja sorts out his shit play against spin. Sean can also play in any position in the top six. Has to go to England.

Only problem with nightwatchmen, you know they'll go early the next day most times. While it was Lyon his dismissal makes us 4/80 out instead of 3, which, as we see, really still applies alot of extra scoreboard pressure.

Ridiculous that Patterson is coming in at 7 after Labuschagne and Head, he was selected on the basis we need batsman to score hundreds and leap frogged all the other potentials in the squad, instead he'll get stranded with the tail.

Problem with guys like Harris is he looks good so it'll take an age for him to get dropped. Expect him to play all 5 Tests in England.

This is just showing while the Indian bowling was good it wasn't the problem and Shami claiming they're the best attack in the world off the back of it is a good laugh. We're just rubbish.

I agreed with this for a while based on some great overseas knocks but I think it's time ot accept he's past it in the long format. An average of 34 at his age is just a wasted selection, I'd prefer someone who might not do better but at least gets some experience in England and might do better next time at this point.

He's 35 (will be 36 when the Ashes come) and has proven that he's well past it at the top level. He's a gun limited overs player and should just stick to that.

This side is so freaking bad. The best and most logical thing the selectors could have done is start debut the next 200 gamer but no they prefer batsman who averages in the 30's rather than an average of 50

Nobody out there is averaging 50, and as for the next 200 gamer, nobody really knows who that is. Pucovski has talent but has played all of 8 first class matches. Renshaw was supposedly the next 200 gamer until he went down the tubes. Let's face it, the options right now are a bunch of guys who either aren't good enough or aren't ready yet.
