I thought the California Fast Train project was estimated to cost in excess of $100 Billion.
A project which most Californian's now don't want, probably won't be completed by it's estimated 2033 and doesn't have Federal funding so will mostly have to be paid for by the Californian taxpayers. Just 31% still want it built now that the initial $40 billion project has blown out to be uncertain and over $100 billion.
But take no notice of the actual point Trump is making ... his spelling is much more important than the failures of the state of California.

If it doesn't have federal funding, why does Trump keep bringing it up?
If it does go through, looking long term it will be better for the environment, good things come at a cost.
