Don’t ever get anything wrong Tug!
I get plenty wrong. I wasn't on my lonesome thinking Dimma was no good. I reckon Dimma himself thought he was no good at the time.

Toffee if you want to start playing the man, happy to entertain you, so lets just keep this to all matters football

This is not media driven it is fact, statistical fact. Yes, all sides pushed players back, either at centre bounces (we don't have stats on where wingmen started, defensively or attacking positions)or during play, but it is clear fact the Tigers started with 6 6 6 on 3.4 % of times, the lowest in the league. They even started with 8 6 4 more than any other side, again fact, not media opinion

I am not suggesting that you will not adapt to the changes, all I said, it will be interesting to see how you set up and what effect that has on your gameplan. A gameplan of having numbers defensive side of all stoppages then streaming forward. A simple gamplan, but extremely effective over the last 2 years
can you actually read a table ?

let me help you out, Crows 29.2%, Tigs 11.5 %

That is cute, trying to school me on set ups and tactics

Look a little deeper and you will realise that you had the lowest % of starting 6 6 6 last year than any other side 3.4 %:)
Look a little deeper than that and see that while 6-6-6 decongests our defence, it also decongests our forward line, meaning that when we have momentum from the centre we are tough to stop from scoring.

Hardwick in the past was happy to concede clearances because our defensive structure would be able to absorb it and rebound for a goal, but now we can no longer set up like that at centre bounces, we can instead go directly to goal from the centre rather than building up a goal from half back due to less congestion up forward.

That’s why I believe our scoreworm looked steeper in the JLT in parts where we had momentum.

I stand corrected, highest % of 7 6 5, 2nd highest % of 8 6 4, lowest % of 6 6 6

Interesting to see how you tinker the gameplan
HeyArr0w how good is that Fisher going to get!?
And what's his best position you reckon!?
Is he going to get any bigger in size!?
Looks a good 'un for you...

we will kick over 200 at some point this year due to 666. probably in the later rounds vs a team that can't make finals. would rather it happens rd1 tho

I think we will be content to take the good with the bad when it comes to 6-6-6

yeah there will be times opposition score an easy goal or 2 from clearances, but for the most part I reckon we will back in our defenders to halve the contest.

Rance, Astbury, Grimes, Vlastiun, Broad are all fairly handy 1 v 1 defenders in their own right.

On the flip side, if we get some momentum in games, the floodgates could open for us quickly with our forward line and midfield.

I know a few of us have said it before, but Riewoldt & Lynch being given 1 on 1s' is an absolute dream result for us. Even if we chaos ball it in there, our smalls will have plenty to work with.

I don’t know if it is us, but I think someone like Melbourne or Adelaide will. Now that you cannot flood the defence at centre bounces, I think some teams will cop it when clearance after clearance results in goals.

just to add to this:

Now more than ever we need to address our inaccuracy in front of goal. this is going to be crucial. If we dominate the centre clearances during patches of games, we must convert accordingly and apply scoreboard pressure to try and break teams.

my absolute pet hate the last couple of years is we miss some easy shots at goal, often at times where we should be putting the foot on the throat of opposition but instead we keep them in it and they claw themselves back into the game.

We have one of the best defensive units in the league.
Markov and Menadue should wait.
KMc is a premiership player and knows what is required.
A good scene in the documentary when RCD appears shy to meet Balme.
I would be deferential too as a first-year player.
Balme is the gatekeeper. One of the greats.

Yes. Gold Coast and St.Kilda I think are going to get some absolute floggings. And of course Gill will "smile " them away with his BS sales gibberish.

I think the warm weather will suit us towards the end of the game.
Carltons young guys will get tired

Whilst i do like the way Carlton are rebuilding and starting to get a quality starting 22 together, This year in round 1 they will be extremely young and inexperienced to cope with the tigers for the 4 quarters.

Would be interesting if supporters from eah side could put together with the likely starting 22 and breakup the games played average age of each side

But i do agree with what the Tiger coaches have been saying that we were well ahead of where we are last year and i firmly believe we should play Balta + 1 of RCD or Ross

Yeah he is a beauty, think eventually he will play a Gresham type role, maybe a bit more time through the middle

I constantly dissect and I think Hardwick will play Dusty, Caddy and Edwards more at centre bounces

No one really knows how the 666 will effect sides, as we only have the current clearance stats, which will change with different setups
