Media frothing at the mouth over Collingwood!

Just had a WTF moment, when I read some media hysteria/hyperbole etc.

So some media guru is now trying to spark a comparison between Darcy Moore & Peter Knights, as bona fide Centre Half Back stars.

Moore has played 2 games there so far, albeit good games. And I sincerely hope that he remains injury free & realises his full potential.

But to compare him with Knights, one of the great CHB's of all times is ludicrous.

These lazy journos & so called experts, just pander to the Collingwood throng don't they???

De Goey was better than Ablett Snr last time I heard, sounded legit.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jon Ralph or Robbo trotted this one out at some stage this year.

De Goey is a pretty fair player no doubt, but not in the same universe as GOD as yet.

Yep no doubt about that Sausages. In this football centric hub known as Melbourne, Collingwood will always be a hot topic.

I remember driving past a newsagency in the early 90's & the Herald-Sun banner of the day read, "Star pie out injured". Naturally I was thinking that the player was either Daicos, Brown or Millane as you would. But it was actually a player called Andrew Tarpey. So nothing has really changed over the years!

You do realise that you're referring to two separate issues and that they are not the same?

Alex Sexton is having a better season than de Goey and will arguably be the better player but half the media wouldn’t even know who Sexton is yet they collectively fap over the glorified Jake Stringer.

It was Stringer in 2016, now it's De Goey. It's predictable and boring.
