The bible states that suicide is a sin; given his personal situation, would Gaz be happy for someone to tell him his sister is currently burning in eternal damnation and he’ll never see her again? Would he be impressed by their commitment to faith? We understand that some people have these beliefs about gays, but the moment you publicise them is the moment you demonstrate what a shit human being you are. Not content to live your life but to shame and humiliate people about theirs.

And the thing is, if you look online, you’ll see plenty of people reinterpreting the bible to say suicide does not lead to hell. That’s because we’ve come to learn more about mental illness, maybe they’ve been affected by suicide, so it suits their interests to find a new interpretation. Given how briefly homosexuality is mentioned in the bible, it would be very easy to reinterpret that. The fact they don’t illustrates exactly how bigoted these campaigners are.

I don’t know if he was booed for his views but he should be.

Why are you just focusing on the homosexuality part. Its weird. You either think all of the people he labels is horrible or non of them. To pick and choose is disgusting.

There is no doubt in my mind that he's just saving face with that post before he really got punished by the powers that be. I cannot fathom anyone with the mindset of "loving all people" would like a post like that in a million years. Absolute rubbish that his like was solely in support of Folau showing his faith.

This is what a lot of non religious people don't get. It's not a case of picking and choosing who lives the better life etc. At the end of the day we are all sinners which is sort of what Izzy was referring to as he listed a lot of things. Even people who cure cancer etc have secretes behind closed doors and if you continue to ignore this it just shows why they get away with things like that doctor in the US who was touching kids.

The other thing I find strange is. If people thing Religion is such a crazy idea and all a load of rubbish, then why do they get so angry and people saying things about hell etc. Surely if you don't believe in such things evil and hell etc would have absolutely no meaning, therefor the comment doesn't have any bearing.

At the end of the day the PC brigade makes the call and the public blindly follow without any thought on the matter and that's all there is about it.

Houli did get booed, and rightfully so, for his behind the play hit on a Carlton player, certainly not for his religious leanings. I presume ablett would also like posts by Fraser anning, Isis and hitler. While presumably not representing his views they too are strong in their beliefs and faith, and share their beliefs in the public sphere despite facing strong opposition. Such strong convictions are surely worthy of admiration and a good like on Twitter.
