For those wanting to check out Trent Rivers (East Freo prospect) there's a bit of footage here from the week before last - He's quality imo and should definitely get drafted. Also includes Jaxon Prior (West Perth) - a few rate him but I'm not convinced he'll get drafted. Also Jarvis Pina (Peel) who reminds me a bit of Jason Carter - exciting to watch but unlikely to ever get drafted.

edit - will post the video for the last round when it drops today/tomorrow. Hopefully we get to see a bit of Liam Henry's performance ;)

Caleb Serong is the "type" that I think we could look at. Sall forward/midfielder. Pretty dynamic, hard at it, difficult to contain. A hard-running Neale with a goal kicking mindset (Neale a pretty decent goal kicker).

Also Liam Henry is currently measured around 182cm so is a reasonable height already (ie. should he grow a little more over the next year or two). Someone made a comment as if he is 174cm height.
Yeah my bad. Have in my head that he was sub 175cm.

At that height he is big enough to go early but would reserve comparing him to Stevo until I see him play.

Rankine is a forward
Haha, we wish Henry was that good. I'll happily match a pick 1 bid for him if he is.

Trust me the length of the contract doesn’t mean much, get it done quickly.

May should be have come......

Without checking the only small forward I can recall being drafted in the top 10 of recent drafts is Ainsworth at the Suns
Izak Rankin (178cm) - 2018
Ben Ainsworth (178cm) - 2016
Callum AhChee (180cm) - 2015
Jarrod Pickett (178cm) - 2014

Doesn’t Henry play quite a bit midfield and is taller than all of the above? Either way happy for him to slide to post 15 or more.

Most likely scenario if Freo wanted to enter the mid season draft would be to move a player or 2 onto long term injury list rather than retire them.

Freo would need to have a target in mind for this to happen IMO

I don't see Cox and Darcy being with next year.

Both too good not to be playing AFL.
I do ,easily.
Both are contracted and unless we get a too-good-to-refuse deal for either they ain’t going anywhere.
Also were barely a quarter of way through the season, they ll still get plenty of opportunities to cement themselves in the side

We could actually use a Mick Barlow for the second half of the season.
As long as we always kick a goal out of the centre bounce, or they do.

Michael Barlow could be a liability with the ball moving end to end in free play. But if we win all the clearances with him then it doesn't matter.

Yeah I’d only use him as an inside mid. If we can get another good accumulator there I think we’d be better for it.

Much better to prioritise midfield games into Blakely, Brayshaw and Bewley than Barlow. Get Valente and North in there as well just to mix up the alphabet.

IF the club was keen on O'Reilly then I would be ok getting him in ahead of the main draft. Or, pass.

So it's sounding like Cogs is a pretty loyal kind of fella-expect him to sign on with GWS.That will shift our attention to T.Kelly.
Would our 2019 first pick be enough to satisfy the cats?

Give it a rest... our first pick won’t be going on the Table for Kelly.

Why not?
Henry is projecting as a top 30 minimum. Wouldn't be a bad move TBH?

I'd personally prefer going to the draft and throwing everything at Coniglio but Tim Kelly could have a field day running around next to Fyfe

What if Tim Kelly wins the Brownlow this year ? Not beyond the realms of possibility. Personally, I think Kelly is right up there in the best ten mids in the comp. would look awesome in the purple.

Cox has been injured so cant really be upset in that regard. Clearly underdone vs GWS.
Darcy is developing and probably told to get fitness up. He ll be back in no time. So don’t think the two aren’t too concerned, they know where they’re at

How did you arrive there? I am not saying he is not but I am wondering how you could possibly have enough information to make that call?

There is a lot of footy to be played between now and the draft.
While clubs are already watching several players, I would imagine there are a number of players who will step up between now and November and force their value.

100% agree with that, but I still don't understand how we know Henry is a guaranteed top 30 pick based on that?

He could theoretically play his way into the top 5 or out of the draft entirely between now and November.
