How is Bran suppose to relay where the NK is in pitch darkness to the army who are as you say on all out attack?

The all out attack on millions of dead people, that won’t tire out the small army of the living at all let alone add to the increased number for the dead army.

Given 6 men killed hundreds of wights on the defensive position of a rock I’d imagine they’d kill allot more in the defensive position of a castle. Castles are op defensively makes sense they’d use it.

Given 6 men killed hundreds of wights on the defensive position of a rock I’d imagine they’d kill allot more in the defensive position of a castle. Castles are op defensively makes sense they’d use it.

True, but the way they set up the defences around the castle I get the sense that if they make it to the castle they overwhelm them with sheer numbers from all directions.

The dead don’t seem to be great climbers though. Although when they attacked the three i’d raven’s place they were crawling all over the roof, upside down and everything.

The traps just make logical sense though, it’s slows them down so they get pelted with dragon glass and flaming arrows easier.

I’d also lay out a fire trap, douse an area outside the the castle with oil and light it just before the get there.

Wildfire would be great in this instance for a moat if you will

With all the traps I think that’s what triggers the NK to raise the dead in the crypts

We've seen the other WWs holding similar javelins but we haven't seen them throw them so we don't know if they have the same supernatural arm that the NK does.

In normal battles this makes complete sense. But in this case you kill a white walker and thousands of wights instantaneously die. White walkers are just going to sit back and let the wights attack the castle. You have to go to them. All the normal rules of battle are thrown out as a result.

It depends on where the white walkers position themselves. If the white walkers are in a safe position behind their army then the normal rule aren’t thrown out.

They can be used to ram down the castle door as it has been seen before in the show

They can also haul projectiles aka boulders

But who knows how the NK will use them, the book has also hinted at other creatures in the NK army so it’ll be interesting if the add things we havent seen before aka dead giant spiders or something
