Have to agree. In public at least Bolton had a few nice cliches and was seen to enjoy a bit of ‘theatre’ but doesn’t strike me as being as deep a thinker as Teague.

Paradoxically I think one of Teagues strengths seems to be his ability to keep his message simple. I was listening to an interview on SEN with Kevin Muscat and his belief as a coach was having a simple game plan as it has more chance of being carried out successfully.

Liked for the use of a 6 syllable word paradoxically.

Can’t spell it so can’t google it.

What does it mean?

Something that seems impossible but at the same time can be true.

i think he is saying that Teague is a complex thinker, with many things going on, yet somehow manages to relate a simple message, despite the complexity.

tipping you might be interested if someone at your same level came in and was paid 10% more than you for no other reason than to lure them there.........

What if the benefit that person brings flows directly through the whole organisation (example by way of generous bonuses to all staff or a premiership).

As accurate a post that I've read here. History is littered with great orators capable of wooing the masses, but with little substance in their actions.

In my eyes, a Leader is someone who gets things done, not someone who talks about getting things done.

The Pres seems to be getting things done.
Can we start the Bruce Doull for president campaign?

generally we don't live in the world of the professional sports-person - most of us work in a categorized role that has its set remuneration plus bonuses maybe, loadings, leave, lsl, other perks perhaps.........knowing the person sitting across the desk from you is earning more for doing the same job could be reason for a sense of resentment couldn't it? that's all........might ask a woman what it feels like..............

Learn to start a sentence with a capital and you might get a pay rise.

Well some people keep hinting there's more to the Daisy thing, so one assumes that while Simmo has done everything right on and off-field he manages to just get another chance to go again based on his form, but with Daisy there's something else perhaps off-field that has broken the camels back.

Not gonna speculate on what that might be, for the record I love the bloke, but maybe it's enough for the club to make the decision they have.

GWS getting towelled up now by Dogs. Surely if he hasn't decided already, this helps push Coniglio to leaving? I don't think this GWS team is going to be a serious contender anytime soon...probably need to change the coach.
That and Leon Cameron is as inspiring as an old hard piece of chewing gum on the footpath...

This! Rumour is Cogs is going to jump on the overnight XPT train down to Melbourne followed by direct transfer via the Teague train over to Ikon Park...

I believe the Thomas call was an easy one if the future of the club comes before the future of the individual. As it must always.

Agreed. Much in the same way the easy decision has been made to keep Simmo instead of tapping the shoulder. The club are 1 from 2 as far as these decisions go IMO.

There is no gender pay gap. Lets not start that rubbish here. ;)

If that what makes you sleep at night sure... on par with Malthouse appointment.

Malthouse was an amazing appointment.

He was so bad and outdated that it forced the club to see the error of its ways and belatedly join the 21st century

:p

Probably? Id suggest its a given they need to do that.

Maybe its not just about onfield.
As far as onfield goes, Simmo can go on at the top level I am confident. Thomas I thought maybe could but not as confident. But if your going to choose one over the other its got to be the club legend before a jonny come fairly lately.
