I find it hard to believe any trades are 'done' at this stage.

Clubs talk unofficially all year. Official prelim trade meetings last week. Easy to believe principle agreements are done.

Andy’s been very vocal on this. In the podcast a few weeks back, then on The Front Bar.
Could be nothing, but he was a footy journalist once and would know how to sniff a story. He also worked with SOS and Walls on channel 10.

Lol the Young Reid nickname is easily the best nickname to come from Bigfooty I reckon. Crazy Vossy was good but Young Reid is just so damn insulting and condescending.

I agree, I love it. I can't even remember who was the original poster who came up with it (it wasn't me). That person is a legend.

Fair to assume our 1st pick may be a bit higher than we'd thought.

If we can get our preferred players in without it, it may still come in handy on draft night. If only to dangle for a live trade. Who knows what clubs might be willing to offer if someone slides unexpectedly.

Assuming Papley won't be released by Sydney, whatever we can get done with Pick ~8 could probably be done with our future first. Take 8 to the draft if there's someone there we like (ie. Serong), or trade it on draft night to someone for overs (ie. send it to Essendon for ~30 and their future first).

I can't see us using pick ~8 at draft night.

SOS will definitely trade it in some way prior. We don't need more kids this year.
