I'm talking picks not coinOf course they do ....trade Jack Stevens ($900K) , Bruce ($600K) and Carlisle ($500K) ...frees up a lot of coin ....they'll get a 2nd round pick to pay for Jenkins
Why should the club buy them coffee? They already supply food and water and the club. It's not like they are on minimum wage!
Fallacy?Phallacy ....by clubs buying time with excuses .....enough mechanisms to regenerate your list quickly, if your club is good enough

Not from the local cafe thoughWould have thought lots of employers supply coffee to their staff.
Let's hope so!I would assume Jenkins Contract has him only getting paid big $$$ ...if he's playing AFL, not SANFL
Ewww what was he thinking?....Fallacy?

I understand that would be the case for the "A" graders ...Walker, Sloane ....but not sure that would apply to Jenkinshe would get paid the same whether he played AFL or SANFl

I'm not 100% ....but I thought they were starting to revert back to variable ....example, a 7 year contract must have safguards for the clubs ...can't be unconditionalLet's hope so!
I don't know for certain but I've gathered that clubs have gone away from variable contracts. Too hard to stay within the cap. Too many things going on if money is heavily affected by team selection, B&F results etc.
Surely not .....I'd be aghast if that were the casei would have thought Jenkins would have been seen as "A" grader at the time he signed
I agree with most of this .....but this is wrong ...h just wouldn't frickin play in front ...he did after he came back from the SANFL till he rested the ankle ...after that, back to playing from behind & droppedI reckon JJ could be a starter in at least half the lists in the AFL. I also don’t he’s on particularly big coin for the kind of player he is. If $500k is correct, I don’t think he’ll struggle to get that elsewhere and get games.
Even this year he averaged 2 goals a game. Had been averaging close to 50 for the previous 6 seasons. If we had a forward line coach who wasn’t completely useless, he could have had another 50 this year.
I think he is one of the many players who have completely lost faith in the football department and coaches. A new start would be best for him. I reckon he’ll get one on roughly the same coin, and I don’t even think we’ll need to contribute to it. It wouldn’t surprise me if goes straight back to a 50 goal season either.
If they move Carlisle and Bruce on though? seems a bit of shuffling the chairs (all similar ages).
That thread was pretty funny when they start talking about how they'll get Crouch for less than $500K a year, won't have to even give up a 1st round pick and we'll potentially pay part of his salary as well.
(Burton) Was a bloody average player
Which they’ll need for hillJack Stevens and Josh Bruce’s pick will become available...
If only Burton was as good at being a Football Manager as he was a player...What? He was better than average. Way better.
I was being carefull .....you're known as being trigger happy
After he came back from being dropped, he was our most dangerous forward. Why was he dropped the second time? Clearly not related to his on field performances relating to kicking goals.I reckon JJ could be a starter in at least half the lists in the AFL. I also don’t he’s on particularly big coin for the kind of player he is. If $500k is correct, I don’t think he’ll struggle to get that elsewhere and get games.
