What did I just read loLLooking at H & A wins for each team's double ups shows it pretty closely follows the ladder positions from last year. Swap the Bulldogs and North and it would be a pretty decent outcome.

2002.When was last time we played Swans only once in a season AND it was in Melbourne???
Hate that, basically takes away any advantage of a home game for us. Not sure about Suns round 23, seems like a possible training run them a week off leading to finals, not the best.
Or maybe we'll just get assigned both of them as home games at Marvel!Assumed we might be getting our "home game at Docklands against a tenant club" out of the way early next year
Alas, must be Saints or North who get that that leg up next year

The traditional one is ridiculous let alone going back to a second. Easy fixes too, the G is empty on Friday night (R7) when we play the saints. Would also make more sense playing GC at Marvel.Home games against Saints and North at Docklands.
We are ..... Twice in the final 5 weeksBe grateful that Collingwood aren't going to Perth
Simple rule:The AFL's stated aim with the fixture is that the higher a team finished on the ladder, the harder their opponents are next year.
For example: Collingwood play Richmond, Essendon, Melbourne, WC and Brisbane - those teams combined for 64 wins in 2019.
I've added it up for all teams to see how close the AFL actually gets to its aim.
The answer is - pretty close.
Whether or not this should be how the fixture is done is another question.
Yep and it varies only slightly every yearNo harder than last year ,good to see cats get a tougher draw.
Simple rule:
Never get caught between the AFL and a $
Stated aims disappear if there is a buck to be made
I might’ve read this wrong, but we have double up games against 4 of last years top 8. Everyone else has 3, except the Bulldogs who only have 1. Lock them in for top 8 next year.
